Very cool car. I think it would look awesome with scallops. What size flake are you putting on top? I'm putting my '60 Bel Air in the shop next weekend to have the roof flaked and haven't decided on the size. I will probably go with 2 different sizes to make the flake look thicker. Can't wait to see what kind of ideas people come up with for your car. CH

Flames, (and scallops) belong on HotRods.
Only scallops work on a Kustom, if anything.
    That is a Cadillac...
Silver flake the roof and paint the body lavender pearl, and put the most beautiful hubcaps Cadillac ever made back on it.

    Red wheels,,, Yuck!

Early 60 customs had scallops and fades sometimes flaked tops

Straight body lines are complemented greatly by scallops.

I have a 60 Chevy 2 door wagon with scallops

that's an awesome Cadillac. i too vote for scallops, and scallops on the roof would look great as well.

Right on the mark. If the scallop's are short the body will appear long, and vise-versa. Got any sombrero hub cap's? Polish then install for a refreshing difference.

DO NOT FLAME THAT CAR. Scallops or lots and lots of stripes, but under no circumstances should you flame it.

anyone intrested in photoshopping it for me?

  19. Scallops in the color you're using on the roof...but here's the catch: Have them outlined by a good striper. Unlined scallops look ridiculous, in my opinion. And good God man, please put some Astros or caps on that thing. That car has no business looking Ratty w/ red wheels. It's got too much class for that.

uhhh yeah. Black rims please. Or nice caddy caps. I personally don't run caps, simply cuz I throw em off all the time. (I keep forgetin the caddy aint no dern ferrari) But red just looks wrong on a 60's cad. Maybe it'd be ok on a 40's or early 50's cad. As for the metalflake. Go silver and small. It'd be classy. As for flames.. no way. Maybe scallops, but keep em silver and thin. Long is good to accent the body, but not fat, it just wouldn't be right.

And I'm diggin the idea of leapard skin blankets for the interior!!!

  25. Panel it.

Looked better before red wheels!!! hehe

I would go with panels too... That car has the lines for it.
Take a look at some of the little books from back in the day - some of the best panel jobs also incorporated some scallops or flames into them.
The photo of the Caddy above is a good example. And don't forget the striping!

I went a looking for one particular car that's one of my favorites or your style.

    Shaun Palmers' car.

this is about all I found.

if anyone else has photos of this car please post them. it's had several quality paint schemes on it. I really like this one...very simple. Very clean.
