Instalment No. ??....Deuce Project update

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by rat bastad, Feb 27, 2005.

  1. Ok guys...in spoite of the bullshit that had pervaded the Aussie HRI Forum and its imminent demise, I managed to get some work done today.

After reproming the body and setting it on the frame, I managed to get the following done. Made an alternator bracket, cut and ran plug wires/rajah ends, finished checkering the whole floorpan, mounted the EZ wiring fuse box under the dash, ran the rear wires (brake and parking lites, license plate & reverse lites, mounted the limey indicators, fuel pump wired in, rebuilt/rewired and mounted a set of Limey 1954 Vauxhall Velox (I think) lenses that I scored at Ballarat Swap meet on Friday with Flatoz, and wired in the brake lite switch.

Then I rewired the Guide 682c headlites and made new wires/fittings for the turn signal mounted on top. By this stage I was really flyin so I got stuck into the fuel tank, installing the fuel sender and fuel lines and mounted the lot into the chassis.

Then I dedided to call it a day.....

Next up? Fire the mighty flathead and break it in....stay tuned. The 4-72 is on its way......YEAHHH !!!

    Rat

I like your choice of lights, the nerf bar on the rear, the white bulkhead, and you wrote "checkered floor"... very cool.

Back to my breakfast... coffee and biscuits are good....

    DAMN Rat...the car looks awesume......:)

  19. Hey thanx for the input, believe me I sure appreciate it !! In a funny kinda way it helps when you really cant be bothered going into the garage and yet once I get in there and get the music crankin' I get fired up again. The heaps of advice and encouragement from fellow Hambers has been much appreciated TRUST me.....

Man on a mission.....yeah...a bit worried that there might be probs trying to get it on the road due to the issues weve been havin' down here...so I'm trying to fast track the progress to get it regoed.

Plus, havin no wife or full time GF helps a bit.....

Drewfus the oil filter is a modern spin on type concealed in the repro Hildebrandt finned cover. Modded the block to suit....

Yeah I wanna put some numbers on those doors after rego...like
"770". Can you photoshop the number in a vintage style on the doors...hmmmm?? And yeah the 4-71 blower is on the cards (on its way)..... that is a MUST HAVE .

Yeah Ive checkered the whole floorpan(black and white) so when you stick ya head under, there is a false floor which conceals insulation and cleans the whole underside up while giving it a vintage look. See if I can post a pic...

Hey Devilrod...Ill try to get it to the Rumble.....jeez man have u seen the drug money some of these trimmers are askin' for to retrim the interior? Man, makes me wanna buy a sewing machine and do the lot myself !!

    Rat

  22. Hmmm....

Geez man you have me worried...how come you KNOW SO MUCH about what is GAY and what ISNT ?? LOL

Gotta be something to worry about .....hehehe !!

  30. Well I'm currently having a ball doing a hasty 3 speed patch up.
I took 2 teeth of the input shaft unfortunately side by side, creating a sad sound continuos clunk......ooooops :(

Thanks to Rob, I now have another to throw in to see me through, so should be going again by Saturday!

Rat try Six-Five on this board (alias Frenchie or Glen) gets or sorry got around in a flat black XP wagon, did a seat for Peddro and I saw some of his handiwork on floor carpet last night, real good. Peddro should have a contact no.
