Anyone know how to get a hold of his son? I believe that's whose got the car now, correct? I'd like to talk to him.

You mean Steve Lang? He's slang250 on the HAMB, but I don't know how often he's on.

Hello Everyone, I'm sorry I'm not on here more often. I got some photos of how the car was lowered to give you a good idea. As you can see the back was Zed. In the last photo there is one peice of flat stock hanging down that isnt part of the lowering. I looks to be just a part to hange the exhaust from. We have been mostly working on the motor after we got done with the rear end. We are going to do nothing with the paint at all. Looks like there is enough there not attacked by the salt. You can see in some of the photos how much is caked on in a few places.

Ahh! I can't see them! (It looks like you're trying to host them from your e-mail account.)

Still, thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to the pics.

That's much better! Those look like lowering brackets in the rear. The front spring perch resembles the trailer hitch I saw on a Model A Phaeton belonging to the guy from whom I bought my '28 Chevy banger.

Thanks for the photos!... I met you at Hershey (had the decal of this car on my truck window)...

Pretty neat how he extended the brakes inward like a race car...
Must have been a later change? Jimmy's pic, above, looks different?

Looks like Multi used a late '30's Chevy radiator/cowl support rod. Could you shoot a close up of the modified brake levers on the Ruckstell rear. Merry Christmas to you and the gang at Langs!

It is a real thrill to know that "Multi's" T survives and it is so nice to see it being restored properly. I have always been a fan of this T and it was one of the inspirations for my '26 Roadster "gowjob"

Keep up the great work and keep those pictures comin' !

    Steve Lang,

Any updates for us on Multy's old gow? This will forever be in my top three best-loved hot rods.

Also, while we're at it, can anybody tell me what size tires are being run on the car?

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Me too....we're hungry for updates!

    Dave,

I think they were 20" Buffalo Knock-offs...if memory serves.

I think you're right about the wheel size and type, but I haven't seen the tire size mentioned. The pics at the Alter Boys show look like it's wearing new tires, so somebody must know.

That can be a trick question, I've seen photos of the car with what may be 16-18 inch Ford or Plymouth wires. You guys do know that Plymouth wires bolt onto 26-27 T wire wheel hubs. Steve Lang told me the RAJO equiped engine was being worked on back in October when I saw him at Hershey.

Yup, the possibility of Plymouth or Pontiac wires was discussed earlier in the thread, but the latest word from the Langs was that it was back on Buffs.

Also, I'll bet the V8-style wires were 6-lug Chevy, since the car has wood-wheel hubs.

I talk with Don Lang last weekend at Mansfield swap meet and all he said was it was moving slow.

Still, after all these years and hundreds of hot rods, this one is it. Park this next to the Navarro Roadster and tell me to choose and I'd prolly die deciding....
