i'm just seeing if any HAMBers would be interested in doing some design work for me. i'm trying to start a t-shirt company but i have 0 artistic ability. i've seen the weekly art shows and all of you are talented beyond belief, truly amazing work. if anyone is willing to help me out, i will be more than happy to pay you.

what i want to have drawn up is a rendition of the skull and crossbones. i'd like to have an evil or devilish looking skull with some devil horns. and for the crossbones, i want skeleton bones with skeleton hands both of which have the middle finger up. the bones should be underneath the skull rather than behind it.

here are the 2 designs i have thus far. thanks guys, i do appreciate it.

I would imagine most of the artists on this board would expect to be paid for the work since....you know....it's kinda what they get paid to do.

I am getting quite tired of these cattle call posts.......buddy....are you not happy with the designs"thus far"?
I am sure you can get a few young artists to draw for you while you sit back and decide. This is called SPEC work.......absolute ********!!!!!!
If you have seen art on the friday art show(tm)..then you must have a few of our creative types in mind........contact the people who like. There are many here who do this for a LIVING.......I for one(and alot of others)cannot and will not draw for free. Can I ask you to work at your proffesion for a week and maybe you will get the job?..or better yet...even get $$$$$$$$?Yes,yes.now your gonna reply and say"I am gonna pay"......do some research first before you put out one of these calls.

And this post has nothing to do with ****ing hotrods.

When I first got out of college, I ran across several job openings that wanted me to do a project or 2 for free so they could "test my abilities". I was glad that I didn't give in. I told them you have seen my work already (my portfolio), if you can't tell by that, then I wouldn't want to work for you anyways.

I did find out that one of the places never actually hired artists. They just kept ****ering new applicants into doing "free" work. Grrrrrrr....

I might not be the brightest bulb on the Christmas Tree, but I sure am glad I didn't fall for that one!

I see this **** quite abit on a few different forums. Asking guys to test drive their designs. Kind of like a Miss America pageant. If you do some research, you can see that there are some very talented guys on this board and I am sure you will find a style and a price that you would agree with.

    Good luck,
    Mike
