  3. Years ago, R&T ran an article about a German who put a 928 V8 into a Golf (Rabbit). He widened the body 8 inches IIRC, and left the rest looking very stock.

EXTREMELY good worksmanship. The definition of sleeper.

Question is: how talented are YOU??

Okay, so I realized that this may not have been the best place to post this question. However, I was expecting that my question would be answered, not that my choice of projects (admittedly silly) would be questioned/ridiculed.

My question was answered most helpfully by BulldawgMusclecars. Thanks, man. You rock.

As to me posting a question regarding a 1995 saturn in a trad rod forum... well, the question was more about the rear end. What vehicle it was going into was fairly irrelevant. And jsyk, the s10 rear end is a good eight inches narrower, which is why I would want to stick the guts in there in the first place. Removes a lot of headaches (patoot, patoot, patoot).

And, yeah guys, it is a saturn. That is why I started my post by stating that I was insane. I just wanted to beat youse guys to it. :p

    Anyway, thanks guys!

coincidentally, "patoot patoot" is the noise the engine makes with the cracked head. Go figure.

sooooo, how are you gonna put narrow "guts" in the camaro housing that is still the same width?

    this has to be fake.

im gonna go on a football forum and ask for recomendations for a baseball bat.

To the person who I will not name. A welcome from (city I will not name) Did you even read his post, or notice it was in the wrong spot? Or notice it was Way off topic?

rear end problem solved - put 24"s & rubber bands under it & raise it up to clear - it'll look like all the other cars in baltimore

Why not just pick up an 8 inch Ford rear end and have it narrowed? Or there are a couple of rear ends (van I think) that have a real short axle on one side and a long one on the other and two short axles and one cut tube makes a nice narrowed axle.
