Thanks guys. I enjoy the comments, ideas, and feedback. No side shot taken when the front was lowered. Its already back up at road height. i removed them for cleaning and painting. Which should be done this weekend. As for my headers, I plan on staying with long tubes. My 289 is not torque monster and will need any help i can give it. The hood scoop, I cannot close the hood with the tunnel ram. A quick measurement told me so. Therefore if it is going to be sticking through, that's the hood scoop I want to run with.
Are you going for a 60s look? If so, have you thought about one of the Thunderbolt bubbles? Might look good and it would fit the period better. On the header issue, if this is a pure race car then it does not really matter how it looks. (Ok, to a point.) If however, it is a cruiser, then compare the times you are getting looked at to the times you are on the loud peddle. Like I said, your car, your choice. Just tossing out some thoughts.. I am just stoked to see a 65 getting done. Keep up the postings. Thanks.
I'm with Lee on this one. Get the Crites T-Bolt hood. Lose the inner headligts and make /buy a T-Bolt induction set up.
Sorry guys. I cant bring myself to get a teardrop. I had one on my Mustang for awhile. Not sure why, but it did not grow on me like I thought it would. That, and everybody seems to have one. She will be on the strip 90% of the time. So function first for me right now. All though I would like to find another 65 Fairlane wagon and turn it into a crusier.
Sorry no new updates on the Fairlane. Work took off and i took a promotion. I moving to Minnesota in 2 weeks
Well Congrats on the promotion!!! Too bad you gotta move to Vikings country. LOL. Brrrr.... Hope the move goes well and the wagon goes with ya!
