OK I was thinking of all the different styles of tail light treatmens out there for Mercs. Some good some ....not so much?
What do you all think of this.
using the hidden tail light set from a 65 Riv for the tail light conceal ?
I have always liked the clam shell operation.
Of coarse it would have to open up as soon as the car is started.
Is this too goofy, or ??

Not too sure about the tail light idea but that has to be one of the sexiest front bumpers ever made. Good luck with the tail lights.

Here's the 65 Riv headlight grille as taillights on a 55 Mercury.

I think it's an interesting idea. Not overdone, that's for sure.

I'd use the non-opening '63-'64 T signal units with Red bulbs instead.
Put some Red reflectors in there too becuse most States require Red reflectors along with tail lights.

I had an old Popular Hot rodding magazine (over 40 years ago...) that had an article showing how to fit '65 Riv headlamps/covers onto a '55-'56 Ford.

IIRC, it was fairly easy and looked cool!
