Amaverick, I think that was taken last Winter here. 77 total inches for the Winter. Yeah, I know that's nothing for some of you folks, but I'm 60yrs old now and I've never moved so much snow in my life and don't want to do it again:eek:

Nothing different then in the summer, besides less driving that is...
I've got a playroom packed full of projects to keep myself busy for about 80 years I think :D

Currently working on a not-so traditional, but still nice little 500" blower motor, the 392 Hemi in front of it is next on the line.
Then it's decission time to pick a pair of cars which will receive these fun powerplants :)

  14. Gotta hand it to you guys that get mucho snow... that would take a special kinda person to 'git her done' in those conditions.
we get a bit in the South Isle but not a lot in the North Isle.
Kinda looks like you could make your own fun, but how do you work in it?
I'm sure that if big snow like that hit Auckland the towies and the panelbeaters would become very wealthy overnite.:D

Up till this winter I would hibernate. Now that I have a heated shop to play in I'll be doing a ton of work to the Es***.
Our overnight low tonight will be -20F (-30C). I think I need to move to Australia. :p

Yes... primarily because I only have a space heater in my garage and am freezing my *** off! There's nothing like holding a 22 degree wrench!

I kick myself in the behind for not having some sort of garage setup all winter long. Right now there is a wicked snow storm with big *** drifts everywhere.

  27. I went to the shop and fired the wood burner and proced to clean and rearrange stuff and am sending more stuff out the door, do i need a ton of iron??? i really was going to buff my wheels on the GMC truck but got waylaid, need to get it show ready a little undercoating and spot painting is in my schedule, then could paint the 53 chev and then finish the Model A if i got one of them done that would make me happy!!!:D

the words old and slow have the same meaning every year you get older:cool:

I work on my car stuff and do a little steelhead fishing on the Snake River. It is cold but both the cars and the fish get me off the couch. I can't stand ice fishing and can't go 6 months without fishing. I mostly work on my '42 Chevy, this winter I am cleaning up a running Olds 455 to swap into my '42. I am tearing it down at least far enough to do all the gaskets and check the bearings. If my tax return is decent I will probably re-ring it and do new bearings. I get sick of winter , I am a copier repairman and drive about 600 miles worth of packed snow a week.

After Christmas I'll be pulling the engine out of the '58 for a cam swap, detailing and some bling. The in cab fuel tank will be replaced by a custom aluminum tank under the bed. Cutting the front coils for another 2" of drop would be good. The interior could use some love too...
