Anybody ever see a 2 -one barrel intake for a Hemi? I think it's a stock unit for a truck. It was cast iron and had governors on each carb.

What size Hemi did they go on?

Wish I woulda got a pic.

They went on 331/354 truck & marine hemis. So they fit on all Chrysler Hemis. Use to have that intake. You might look in the Hemi Tech Index under "intakes".

There are 2 different versions. One is a single piece intake with a water neck used in truck applications. 1406828

The second version is a two piece intake bolted together in the center. This version has no water neck and was used in Marine applications. E2 974M

Does the truck one flow fuel well. Will it fit the 354 car heads? Looks kinda cool.

This was deffinately a truck one with the equallizing tubes in the center. Like the last pic and the one on the left by TR.

I guess i will have to try and get it. It has the stock air cleaners which are cool too.

  13. My pal Mike with the 41 Willys build has one for his new sled style rail. I found it in a trailer at my pals machine shop when he was having a bad day and was throwing stuff out. "I asked and he jerked it out and said "here take it!"I dropped it off at Mikes. We are using 2 292 GMC truck Rochester carbs on it. I had had one of those on my old flow bench when doing the work for the 4CT (Four America now) 6 cyl stock car engine and had discovered they actually flow a huge amount of air especially with the air cleaner bridge removed. Two will be more than enuf for his 331. (Carb and manifold mounted on the head on the flow bench there was no difference between wide open throttle with air cleaner bridge removed and no carb on the manifold. )
    Mikes is off a boat.

Clark, would you post a pic of the 2x1 air clearners. I've got the same intake for my 1958 Dodge D400 1-1/2 ton and have never seen the filter setup for this unit. Tanks, Steve

Thanks for the pic. I was quite surprised to see dual oil bath air cleaners. That does look sharp. The possiblities!
