Does anyone know of a dual master cylinder that attaches thru the side?

I'd like to replace the single with a dual on my Dave Wilton battery box master cylinder.

Checkout the Wilwood web site. They have quite a few that mount from the side.

    All Wilwood has is a 5/8" diameter. I need a 1" diameter.

You've got to rethink that whole setup. Not cool. Then again, it could just be the angle we're seeing.

OK, I looked at it more. Looks like your pedal is flopped backwards and the MC pushrod is just loose in the picture. I remember seeing this pedal setup somewhere else so I remember how it's supposed to look and that it's actually a decent way to go.

Best bet is to find any drum/drum MC and built a bracket that bolts to it, and that bolts to the existing two wholes where the old MC was mounted. Try to keep it along the same line as the original and you won't have to modify anything other than the pushrod length. If the MC happens to be mounted off to the side a bit weld a tube-type extension on the pivot arm to get the pushrod into the MC and have it all line up. That is, if you have clearance to do that. I don't know of any dual reservior MC's that mount like the one you have.

Nah nah nah! I have the MC disconnected for the picture. I pulled the engine/transmission/rearend for a changeout and have to re-do the brake lines/MC.

  9. Wilwood P/N 260-8794 is a 1" bore, dual reservoir, master cylinder.

  10. if you have room you could use an f100 master mount as a template and then run a regular master.....of course yours needs to be reversed.

Holy cow that is ugly as sin, and still doesn't mount from the side...

Bumping this thread back up, I'm looking for the same solution to dual pot on a 51 Caddy. The F100 mount looks promising, but I would like a gusset in there, and they want 100 bucks for it???

  12. i would add a bracket and if your sicking with drum/drum use a mc from a 69' chevy 1/2ton truck, cheap and easy to find.
