international car guys

Hi, I am thinking about a tour around the globe visiting cl***ic car clubs, Hot Rodders, shops, enthusiasts - especially for pre war racers/speedsters - in different countries.
To be honest, I'm not just thinking about it, I am already planning it...
Anybody any suggestions for the following countries/cities:
Dubai/Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan, South Africa?

Plans are doing the tour in January/February 2011.

I just canceled Abu Dabi/Dubai and added Argentina (or maybe another destination in South America) instead.

 

Hi, i'm from Argentina Is a coincidence but I'm planning to do the same on the same date but in your country, here in Argentina you got very good hot and rats to see, and in Brazil too. December would recommend you to come because there is a very good meeting, and in April there is another even bigger and better.

For california try to check out the dates of the Pomona Swap Meet which is close to LA.
Do you know some good workshops in B.A. which would be worth a visit?
Do you know the Obsoleto Bistro of Willi Paleo? It's worth a visit!!

check out the Bonanza meeting in Norway, A-bombers in Sweden... truly the best events!!!

 

Plenty to see in Australia however not much at that time of year in terms of car shows from what I can find. Its summer here so regardless its a good time to visit and I am sure you will find something to see!!

 

Heaps on in New Zealand during Jan/Feb.Dust Up , Kumeu Hot Rod Festival and Muscle Car Madness are all on a week after each other..plenty to see with lots of hot days and cold beer!!

 

I used to wrork for Peter 10 years ago.He was good then,he must be heaps better now.He is doing Metal Shop seminars all over Australia now.Good on ya pete.

Hey holmes I live in Dubai and let me tell you there is f*** all for customs or rods here!

 

Dubai is on my list too. Any contacts there?
The actual plan changed a bit. I will go to Australia in November to check out the bendigo Swap Meet. Dubai is on the way...

 

Definitely don't miss Goodwood U.K. in September (right?). There are a couple of great shows there, though I have sadly never been. Also, if you are in Italy in the spring, Villa D'Este is a great show, with some beautiful stuff. It is near Como, then drive south to Modena and visit the Ferrari factory (I think Lamborghini has a museum now too).

I think you can also visit Molshien's Bugatti factory, though I am not sure about that one.

There are a bunch of great guys in New Zealand and Australia, so make sure to get there.

 

So when you planning to come to Dubai??? I will be here until the end of Feb/beginning of March.
