Psychobilly show at VLV???

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by JK, Feb 28, 2005.

  1. I saw a friend of mine last week that lives in Vegas. I mentioned that we were coming out for VLV and he said that there was a psychobilly festival at the same time. Is this true? Does anybody have any information about this. I'd be really interested in going to it also.

I like Psycho.....hairstyle or not. I've been to the Rockaround in September long before I ever went to Viva. I thought it was great, no cars though--that ****ed, but oh well. When I go to Viva, I don't even buy a bracelet, I get tired of all the super traditional stuff. Every girl needs a little throbbin in her life at some point:D

  8. i dig psychobilly. i love rockabilly, but after a while it gets boring. too many bands sound the same in my opinion. not to mention all the fashion-billies looking down on you if you don't have 1954 underwear with skid marks from 1955 in them.

    Psychobilly is even worse...

If you don't think all Psychobilly sounds the same, you haven't been listening to Psychobilly.

By the way, my Pyledriver is 2" taller that yours!

  10. From what I understood, it was the same weekend as VLV. Just down the street from the gold coast.

I think its the Anti-Viva that you heard about at the Double Down, like Tatts said. I don't know about psychobilly tho... its just a bunch of other bands that aren't playing at Viva. My buddy Barbara Burnette will be playing... but that's all I know...

I talked to a friend of mine who is playing the show and he told me it is no way intended to be an anti-Viva show that it is another show in Veas at the same time.......but I have not heard the official line up so i won't post it till I do......will I make it well I doubt I will be sober enough to remember it so probibly not

If they really want to have an anti-VLV event they should have some kind of Javanese Throat Warbling show, it sure as hell would be a lot more listenable than psychobilly.
