Did you make it to the swapmeet in San Diego this past weekend ? It was huge and my feet are pulverized. I was there but as usual "I never get nothin' good.........." but, I hope you did . What cool find did you throw in the trunk for the trip home ?
My friend got all the fenders, splashes, running boards, doors, and bracketry to build his full fendered 30-31 pickup. All for $400.00
I got rid of alot. Didn't get rich, but got rid of some stuff taking up valuable garage space. Did score some SW gauges for 5 bucks, some front fenders for the shoebox for 40, and best of all a really cool steering wheel from a 60's Ford car. Found it a free box, thinking about runnning it. Watch for a post asking for help identifying it.. It was a good time as always and great to some of you all out there. Sorry no pics....
Spent $1800 bux... It was well-spent dough, though. I think the only thing I got for my own project was a pair of Wilwood rear brake hats for 10 bucks. And also a pair of caliper brackets very cheap. I'll hang on to them 'til I start mocking up my rear discs. All the rest of what I bought gets turned back over.
I sold a ton of little stuff, not the 1 big item I wanted to sell. I also bought a 20" schwinn bicycle cuz I 've always had a soft spot for thm. Also a pair of 15" beauty rings. Thats It. didn't really see anything I couldn't live without. Except that 55 g***er, That is a left nut car you have there L B Later H
I got a pretty good looking cowl vent with screen for the ELMOBILE. Spent the day with good friends. They got a ton of ****. Wayno
I bought a couple of 50 Merc grille centers for $10 and a couple rolls of *****in' solder (electrical, not body) from Eric at the geemann corral. I saw a lot of old tin; a pair of 39 Pontiac tudors for $2000 for the pair. The one I wanted but don't have room for was the 35 Ford tudor! I'm with ya Willie, my feet are dead! That is one big parking lot to walk up and down every other aisle.... Say Willie, you smoke that rock yet? :~)
the biggest thing i got was more garage space. i finally got rid of all the **** i've been tripping over for month's. by sunday i was giving stuff away that i was asking $20 for on friday. i did end up buying a model a cowl, doors, and a v'd windshield all for $250 that is going to be used on an ultra budget project once i finnish up a couple other cars. all in all it was a pretty good weekend.
I got a 28 Model A gas tank and sore legs. I seem to be acruing stuff for another rod that I dident even know I was building. Pogo
