I have a Ford 390 with a 4barrel holley. Has anyone swapped out for a edelbrock carb? What spacers, bolt patterns, any other materials (if needed) should I get? What cfm would be appropriate for this engine?

    Thanks

  2. I bolted an Edelbrock on an old 390 I had. 700 CFM it was the Edelbrock Webber Carb and it was a bolt on, although it didn't have the Ford kickdown linkage.

If you are purchasing new and contact a reputable company they should be able to hook you up.

i put a performer carb and intake on my old ford 390 p/u. i already knew i would need to jet it so i called edelbrock tech told them what cam and exhaust i had tech guy gave me jet kit number, i ordered it dropped them in and never had to touch it again. ive used the performer carbs on many builds, great carb. very important to run a pressure regulator 4psi max or it will eventualy start pushing fuel past the needle and flood hot. i usualy run a 1-2 inch wood or phenolic spacer not an aluminum one because of heat transfer.
    just what i do

My last 390 had a 600 CFM Edelbrock on it with a stock 4-V intake. Other than having to redo the fuel & PCV lines it was a direct fit. Worked better than the 750 VAC 3310 I had on it too.
