I know every body out there has been wondering where i went. LOL. So for those who last heard anything about me heard that my 53' Studebaker P/U got in a wreck with a 05' Toyota Camry around August. And also knew that it was his fault. However just following up on my project. Went to the Shades of the Past rod run in Pigeon Forge and met another guy there with an old stude P/U and found out that he had that truck grille i was looking for. Did a little work to it and got it on the truck along with new oil cooler, radiator, turn signals, and electric fan, complimens of the dumb yankee who backed into me. Most of body work done. Will drive in sealed gray primer for a while then get it painted. Working on final prep work for final coat of primer then sealer. Need to get pics for those of you who care. LOL.
Studes are cool, or I guess I care. Now slam them pics up. I never met anyone who didn't like a Stude.
Welcome back. Since you brought up the subject of Studebaker, this is a good place to mention that the Studebaker Drivers Club has its annual swap meet March 5 & 6 in York, PA. Not to be missed! Dave
"this is a good place to mention that the Studebaker Drivers Club..." I am very proud to say that I am a member of the SDC and I would go to more Studebaker events if they were closer to Georgia until my truck is finished then I would drive cross-country if I had to.
Studebaker Drivers Club....I bet that's a pretty wild party... Glad your truck is all better. -Abone.
Hey Bone, Did that bumper work for ya? I haven't found that little clippy thing yet. But as soon as we get my truck out of the garage we are going to inventory everything in the car.
Porknbeaner. Damn, I was SURE I sent you an email. Sorry...Yea, that bumper is kick ass. It helped me out huge. Unfortunately, the Stude is on hold till the Model A is back together. See you at the Drags. PS. Sorry to glom on to your thread, Studedude.
Howdy-- there are two active chapters of SDC in Georgia, one is the South Georgia Chapter (www.georgiastudebaker.com), and the other is the North Georgia Chapter (website??). Both groups meets regularly around the state, and most people attend regardless of what they are driving. Good groups of people! I'll be heading to the York swap meet this weekend, too!
