Not as nice as alot of the cars on here, But it is a work in progress. 350 SBC with Olds Rocket valve covers and Cadillac air cleaner (both striped by Donnie Blades)

Yeah your car is a big inspiration for mine. I talked to you at the last Voodoo meet about the cam grind but I forgot it before I could write it down.

Here is my fleetline!!!!!! It is very photogenic here but will hopefully fulfill my vision of a perfect custom someday. and a pic of what it looked like when it had a v8 about 10 years ago. I guess red and black werent as cliche then but I got over it quick. now I am back to the six and not looking back.........It will be dressed in nice digs and should look quite elegant between those big inner fenders.... least that is what I am trying for

Crappy pics but here is the firewall in my 51. Still needs stripe, clear, sand, buff but you get the idea. It is Candy Root Beer with Candy Gold over Silver Lace panels.

looks great Fonzi. can't wait to see it done.

here is the firewall of my 54.
its semi-shaved, trying to keep a stock looking firewall without the extras.

I hear ya. It is a sick and twisted story I guess but this 6 just sorta fell into my lap and at this point and time I I dont have the cash outlay to build the small block i want and dress it out like I need to have it. This inliner will allow me to be able to drive this car and use it like I should have for the last 10 years that It has sat and done nothing but age and rot. yadayada blah blah...........

In a weird way it makes sense to me.

But a fully dressed out early chevy v8 is in the cards for the long term of this car. unless someone wants to kick down an early caddy mill.....

so this is a 54 poncho trouble light that i wired up and mounted to my core support, when unreeled as you can see it reaches a couple feet past the back of the car! has a 48 buick headlight switch in the dash that turns it on:)

A good friend of mine helped me rewire the car again this past summer and I used all cloth wire with the old style connectors and even used the old style cloth electrical tape that totally looks like hocky tape:)

only took me 4 years to find one:)

if I can ever figure out how to get it apart with out messing it up (its pressed fit)

Hands down my favorite. This was from a while ago, looks even more killer now with the McGurk and cloth wiring...
