Took these shots today in my town while working today during a 4hr shift. Most of these have been sitting outside for years. The Vette, '64-'67 coupe, has been sitting like this for over 30 years that I know of. The car under the blue tarp is a '36 Ford tudor sedan that has been sitting like this at least 5 years. It was a fully restored car when parked there with a blown head gasket.
I don't see any Corvette. For the most part though, it shouldn't hurt any of them too much to sit around, they're parked on pavement and not full of leaves or anything, so they should stay relatively "fresh" for a while. I'd rather see them lay in someone's driveway than pushed out into a wet field somewhere.
That last shot is the reason there are laws against keeping old cars on the property. Actually, given the up-scale appearance of the neighborhood(s) that most of tham are in, I'm surprised that they've been able to sit that long without some reaction from neighbors.
id be banging on most of those doors once a year,, or so esp that super stock mopar,,,,,,,in that last picture if it was my street there would be a strange fire....some guys take it past the line if smart and go all the way too ***hole
nothing wrong with doing a drive by.... the stuff is just out there,,,, no tresp***ing going on driving down the street
Well, as you can see, all this stuff is out in plain sight of the roadway. Didn't have to even exit my car. Thought you guys would get a kick out of it, but I guess not everyone (??). Live and learn...............
Aw man, that black desoto is the right car to be the Sam & Max Freelance Police car. Want! It for sale by chance? I tend to ask about stuff like that. Sometimes they sit because nobody asked if they wanted it off the lawn. Not often but it does happen. Wonder what they wanted for the blue one, it has a for sale sign in it. The black caddy is the same body style as the blue one in the barn here.
Looks like a lot of life gets in the way on a lot of those. But several of them look like they might run and the Dodge Pickup even looks like it at least gets driven. But everyone has their own reasons for hanging on to stuff be they good or bad reasons and it isn't up to us to decide for them.
pulled a 51 Buick - 49 Ford - 65 Ford PU - 56 Desoto and the 56 Winsor (that I traded for 10 yrs ago)....out so you could get a shot...(not really-he's going thru the big d-force...and has to relocate them...and I helped...
the last guy who drove by my house & took pictures was the tax man . get your banker & go knock on doors.
This '36 belongs to a local farmer....It was purchased new by his grandfather....has no plans on selling it or restoring it. I've tried numerous times....maybe the squeaky wheel will get some grease some day. Fat chance though
If the field was level & one could complain about a nissan juke in the neighborhood, at least there'd be a semblance of fairness. As it is, the nosy neighbor is free to swivel his head in another direction.
there's a road like this in every neighborhood...I've spent lunch hours driving neighborhoods....Always finding something, usually not for sale! The fun is in the hunt!!!!
Are you by any chance from illinois ? Cause that vette looks awfully similiar to one sitting out in a yard right down by interstate 70 west of effingham about an hour.
The 57 lincoln looks like its for sale,i wonder what he wants for it and that caddy is very nice, doesnt look that neglected.whats the story with that little number?
Relax, if its sitting out in plain sight, you're asking for whatever you get. Theres a good chance Google has a bunch of shots of your place too!
