did you leave the seat alone or take out the riser?..

 

I want to go the same direction with my 5w coupe. I like the idea of going fast with the 4 banger

 

It's all stock.

 

you must be skinny... or maybe im just a fat guy. I had to cut out my package tray and take out the seat riser now I fit good!

I had the V860 Rebuilt in my 31 5W that was installed in 1951. See pics

 

Naw, I'm 6'5" and not tooo skinny

 

I'm curious ... how good do A's steer with the stock steering box ? I was thinking about maybe using my stock steering in my 31 coupe when I can get back to it ,have a sbc in it (forgive me guys , it was free and runs strong ) .

 

redzoro, i would NOT use it. i dont even know how the heck you would get the stock box to fit with a small block

 

The stock steering box worked fine in my car. Model A's are not the best box, they are harder to turn then most and have a long ratio (meaning you have to turn the wheel a bunch). I shortened the pitman arm on mine about an inch which helped a lot
