I want to go the same direction with my 5w coupe. I like the idea of going fast with the 4 banger

    Hi Chris,

I had the V860 Rebuilt in my 31 5W that was installed in 1951. See pics

I'm curious ... how good do A's steer with the stock steering box ? I was thinking about maybe using my stock steering in my 31 coupe when I can get back to it ,have a sbc in it (forgive me guys , it was free and runs strong ) .

  8. redzoro, i would NOT use it. i dont even know how the heck you would get the stock box to fit with a small block

  9. The stock steering box worked fine in my car. Model A's are not the best box, they are harder to turn then most and have a long ratio (meaning you have to turn the wheel a bunch). I shortened the pitman arm on mine about an inch which helped a lot
