I'm wanting to build a sweet little small block chevy for my 28 coupe. I have a roller cam block and a set of vortec heads, a 460LE trans and a 3:73 posi rear end. I was thinking about running the ZZ4 cam but a buddy of mine is trying really hard to get me to run the chevrolet "Hot cam". I want a quick little street car that might see the strip every once in a while. Anybody ever use either of these? Whats your opinion?

i had a zz4 in a bracket race camaro my kids drove . i switched to the hot cam and a 1.6 rocker and it picked up 3 tenths this was a track only car . both cams have a smooth idle not a ruff idle at all . i would go with the hot cam a good 2500 converter will work nice
