Sprayed some black on the 1940 Merc!

    Well here are a few pics of the 1940 Merc we chopped, Now we are working on some barris style windows. :) Hope you like them. :) :D

  3. Lookin' good. Few cars benefit from a chop as much as the '40 Merc. Hate 'em stock but absolutely love them with a slick chop like that one.

    that's such an awesome car, i love it. congrats on the results thus far. the Barris windows will look nice. keep it up.

    Merc looks great, post some tech on the Barris style windows when you do it.

    Wow...,another good looking '40 Merc !!! The sombrero hubcaps are perfect on those early 40's cars.They totally match the roundness of the body,so simple looking but sooo beautiful.I look forward to see more progress pics.Great work !

    It looks great!

    The one question I have though is about the flex that seems to be common in those hardtop cars...

    What did you do to add rigidity to the body? Especially at the back of the doors.

    When I was gonna buy Rudy's, one of the things that concerned me was how flexible the body seemed.

    Well, when that shot was taken it did not have any form of an interior but the dash, steering wheel, and Steering column.

    Thanks for all your kind words, it took long sleepless nights but I think it turned out nice.
