Hi, I have been lurking for a while, and I thought it was time I introduced myself. I've been a car geek ever since one of my mom's friends took me for a ride in her brand new red 1964 1/2 Mustang convertible when I was six years old. I was hooked from that moment on. I was an auto mechanic for a long time. I got out of the business in the early 1990's, but I kept the tools. I have owned a number of old cars, none of which were anything special (69 Chevelle and a 70 Camaro, both were beaters, but fun). I have also been a model car builder since I was six years old. I build mostly old drag cars and rods and customs, and factory stock stuff from the sixties. I will probably spend most of my time here in the Plastic Modelers section. I was also track photographer for New England Dragway and Lebanon Valley Dragway for most of the 1990's. I also wrote for a number of car mags during that time, most notably for Cruisin' New England Magazine. I also wrote articles for the model car mags back then. Right now I have a 1968 Impala (non-SS with a 327 and a Powerglide), and my wife has a 1973 Eldorado convertible. The 73 Eldo may not count as "traditional", but I have a feeling that it is as "traditional" as my wife is ever going to get. It's kind of nice to be a passenger in her Caddy, and she let's me do all the greasy stuff, which is the fun part for me anyway.
