Found the 32 5W Window in a barn that was about to be auctioned with the old farm in The FT Worth Tx area. The 55 I got 7 yrs ago in Inman SC in a barn and took me 3 yrs to buy it and just finished it 4 months ago. LS 1 6- speed. The 32 Has "0" rust and I want to put it back mint and make an unchopped, nice, 32 5W body to sell. Hope there's a market.

Dad's 31. Easily the most solid old, untouched car I've ever seen. Steel floors with not even a flake of rust. Still has original paint on the frame in places. A friend of mine who's on here knew of it for a long time. Dad looked at it and bought it. Now he just has to get it on the road!
I think that it was last registered in the 50's and appears to have been well cared for up until that point. Need a front seat frame if anyone has one (late '31).

My pop had two of those. He traded one in on a new 76 260z (stupid move back then i think) and just sold his other one about 8yrs ago. It was pretty much a basket case but we had all the parts. It sat in our salvage yard for years.

Its worth will depend a lot on its competition history. It's a pretty cool looking old Supermodified and not a lot of them are around. Most of my familiarity with the class is in Northeastern tracks like Oswego, but there are a couple of sites out there that may have info on southern Supermodifieds. Maybe try here for a start: http://www.southernsupers.com/

Bought this 33 Ford truck off Craigs List just 3 weeks ago. Weather here has been so bad I been unable to get it home yet. The story is...built in the 60s, chopped top, all steel, has 283 Chevy with 3 speed trans, 40 Ford hydraulic brakes, missing radiator and tailgate, been sitting for over 25 years. Cant wait to get it home!

Wasn't a stupid move in 1976! Different times back then.

Well I haven't stopped to ask about it, and I kinda found it in late 09' but I always have to drive by this one house when we go up north to see how it's doing, one of these times I need to stop by and ask if the owner might be interested in selling it. There's another old truck behind a barn their too.

  9. My 1961 Econoline was put into a hay barn in 1979. My friend who sold it to me and myself pulled it out. The engine was stuck and after a lot of rebuilt and replaced items I have been driving the hell out of it. It has been a blast.

It has been my daily driver for a few months now.

Now that's a car screaming to have a 425 nailhead slipped into it.

  11. I bought this Model A. We had to drag that truck out (barn find too?haha) to get the car out. Someone attempted to make a hot rod out of it. I'm glad they stopped when they did!

My son calls me one day to say that a co-worker's uncle has a '63 Falcon and do I want it. After a few phone calls and about a month, we picked it up. It was only about 50 miles away.

Pulling up to Mr. Fann's farm house we could see the Falcon in front of the shed out back. It had rested there since 1980.

One owner 1963 Ford Falcon 2dr with 68585 miles. Mr. Fann layed a deerskin across the hood sometime in the eighties. Other than that it is rust and dent free:

The original owner (Mr. Fann) even helped us load it up!

We call this one "FreeBird", Mr. Fann wouldn't take any money for it!

  13. I'll play though I found this Dec. 09, close enough. 42 tudor wartime production. Notice the black trim, zinc plated grille and windshield surround.

    GREAT THREAD!!!

I know it's not traditional in the sense of this site, but that 1962 Chrysler 300 is sweet, I ALWAYS wanted one to make a 10.5" tire racecar....

Stored in a garage in the CA desert since 1968. 24,105 original confirmed & documented miles. Original engine but not original transmission. Original CA that has never left. The engine was rebuilt only 1,500 miles before it was parked by Fain's Machine Shop in Ventura CA for drag racing back in 1965 when Jimmy was still working out of his garage. Thank god it's the original engine they kept!

I've had her 6 months and am keeping everything as original as possible and what isn't correct I'm replacing with original parts. I've already rebuilt allot of original parts like the starter, generator, radiator, etc. I have about 1,200 miles on her now! I did have to do a new interior since the carpet and seat covers were totally incorrect. She now has new carpet, seat covers and foam, and black convertible top (car was originally black and I'll be going back to black soon with original lacquer).

I don't have pictures of the garage it was in but there was so much stuff in there, you would have no idea there was even a car in the garage!

I wish this one would have been in the barn. Instead, it was in the back yard with the windows down when I found it...

Anyway, it is a pretty nice 26 Buick that the previous owner got running and driving a few years back and then lost interest and parked it outside.

You sure you live in quebec hahahaha:p

Most i ever find here are crappy rusted out late 70s cars:(

  19. My nephew found these. I will go see them after the winter is over and I can get there. Curious as to what the car in the first picture is. It's the one I am most interested in. Not all in the barn, but all within throwing distance...:D

    Mopar Man,

    Nice find.
First pic: 1936 or 37 Hudson Terraplane? Just a guess based on that distinctive grill. Pretty sure that's what it is though.
