i had been trying to get this car for a long time and when it went up for sale i was beat to it i mean by a matter of minutes !
funny thing is the kid who picked it put it for sale this weekend haveing owned it for only a month and a half and never drove it . it has a rod knock or bad main bearing.
times being not so good with the economy and all i picked it up for 1/2 of what he paid.sweet!

anyway im looking for some one who has any pic's of 53's chopped on astro supreme's or custom ....

    it's bagged oldschool style sloooooow
    lake pipes
eng is original will be looking into getting the eng road ready asap.
then start on the body .

any custom pic's would be way cool .....

    thanks'

Cool you got a second chance at it, and half price too. Such a pretty roofline, I don't think I could bring myself to chop that, but Supremes sound good. My dad has a '52, but I like the 53's the best, they have the good side trim with the cooler headlight bezels.

No chop, those cars look so great stock. Astros, lowering, and reliablity should do the trick.

here's a '51. slight chop, smoothed, on bags...

  16. Astros are cool, but If it were me I'd do a mid to late fifties custom, slight chop, skirts, wide whites and some cool hucaps

  17. That one is pretty bad ass. I love the color.

  18. Like the present color, like the stance, love the headlights.

I'd tighten up the engine, get some Sombrero hubcaps, Supremes are for the wider cars, late 50's-60's thing.

Make the chrome and stainless perfect, same with the interior. The dash in those cars is past perfect!

    I had a 52 Buick woodie...wish I still had it...

this car is bad ass !

  22. They are great cars, even with the stock 263 straight eight (128 hp
    with Dynaflow)
I have a stock 1951 Special 2 door hardtop for 20 years and i think
they are one of the best looking early 50's cars, chopped or stock.

  27. Great score. And it even came with that ultra rare 49 Merc side trim. As much as I love chopped cars I don't think I could chop that one. They just look great from the factory. Just lower it and make it dependable

Here are some pics. Of my 53 Buick Super. Doing the chop is not to bad. But all the little interior and stainless cuts gets a little rough. See attachment for spec. sheet. If you have any question please fell free to contact me. Good luck, Great start
