I personally liked Cole's bike, but Hank's was also very nice... But then again I'm biased, I live in Salinas and got to see the Cole's bike in person... Cole and Susan have been there to help us on our magazine since day one. Before we even knew how to set up a photo shoot (not that we're any better now) Cole brought out his 54, blue bobber, and a customers nomad for us to shoot... He is a way cool dude. If you ever make a comment on anything he's building he'll take it in. For example my brother told him that some handlebars looked a little too big and Cole thought about it. I was thinking "Who the hell is my brother to tell Cole what is too big." But Cole sat on the bike and grabbed the handlebars and said, he'd think about it, that maybe they were too big. And if you haven't seen the Kirk's car in person, you're missin' out!

p.s. I was the fat mexican kid that shook Cole's hand at the car show...

I'm coming out from behind the scenes to personally take on Ryan with the Hair-Off. Cole's on his own. I'm busting out the old-school Jake's Barbershop***** and taking numbers...

Sorry to get off topic (I'm good at that), but hair is very important to me!

Super big thanks for the words from you guys'and gals.

I dont have alot of time to write about the show this minute , but I will very soon, and post the BBO ,girls gone wild backstage story .

If I really wanted to unleash fury on TV land I could have banged one bike like the one im building now . they told me its to****y for TV ,x rated for sure

and I would be banned from joining the BBO group

that was a cool show and all, but i'm disappointed. I was fully expecting to see a bunch of madness and debauchery at Cole's- especially after reading some of archive posts that have resurfaced lately.
It was a good show otherwise, pretty evenly matched. Also, nice to see actual skills on display for once. It's nice to see the 36 in its natural environment too.
    But...
If they really want a heated competition, they ought to have a Biker Buildoff Jesse James Look-a-Like competition.

I liked both bikes to be perfectly honest. One thing I really liked about Cole's was how the tank flowed into the seat. All the other guy's who like that look build them so that the tank and seat are molded together. It looks like the whole bike was stamped out of one piece of metal and that turns me off. Why go thru all that trouble to just slap some plastic on it to mold it in. One thing I would of had done on Cole's seat was to do it in leather and had a scroll design done in it like a pair of cowboy boots. The colors that was picked out for Cole's bike was very complimenting for the bike and wasn't flashy. Oh yeah, Cole your a very lucky man to have a girl like that and I mean that in the utmost perverted way:D. later shawn

that's what made me think cole would win. past episode's winners have had that 'look' to their bikes. i would have put money on a win for cole, but i guess i misread the audience on this one.

Ok, I think I stand corrected... the mask isn't the most creepy part anymore.. ha ha ha... Looks better on the chic for sure

Now that's the kind of***** I was expecting to see on the show...

Re: the bike- that thing looks LOW!! especially in the front- ie it looks like the frame's lower than the bottom of the rim? Super cool looking forks- shortened up narrow glide?
It looks like the future- very cool stuff.

Wow. This latest bike pic's look much more flat tracker than bobber. Same theme of short and narrow. But the big spoke's look's pure '60's digger. What and who designed these? Meow. Who would you like to go up against next?

I was impressed on both bikes, thought Cole's was killer, but props to Hank for his bike, love the trad styles employed by both, better than the fishin lures everywhere else as Cole said. And when you figure that Cole stomped Hank at the track, he wins the function end as well...

And Tman, Cole may have said you have great hair, but he's never seen the quality camaro mullet you once sported, thats gotta take you down a notch or two, and i have the pics to prove it, hehehe....

    Cole,
I totally dig the "Deckerweapon" and it's too cool to see some progress since you last posted a pic into "The Nothin' Special" -topic.The stance is so right and the fairing gives the bike a very special and "complete" look.Very cool...

The 12-spokes look******in' and so is the short fork.I really like the bare metal look and I wouldn't paint the bike.It looks so pure and raw and I will leave my Pan in bare metal. Just will add a single black scallop like the So-Cal belly tanker has.GREAT work on both bikes but I don't have to tell you that...

  27. Little brother, I seem to remember YOU worshipped the Camaro! And my hair was more Robert Plant in 86 than mullet. Be carefull, we dug up pics of your fat little**** on that trip to the west coast when you were 3 the other day.

Coles bike had class and style.

those must be american wheels, right? and you got what, like 2 inches of travel on the forks.........a rigid front end would be cool I think (or is it? hard to tell but those look like dust covers on there)

I got a pic on my computer somewhere, of one of your bikes in progress. its real similar, had the americans, and a tank like that, except it had a vl front end that looked a bit long for the frame configuration.

either way, that thing is super*****ing bad

edit - found the pic. good choice on the front end. i'd hate to see a vl*****ed with, and the low stance on that bike is just Right

I just have to say last night's BBO was pretty damn refreshing. Seeing two guys that understand hot rodding, and incorporate it into their bikes get some TV time does wonders for the soul. I couldn't pick a definate winner sitting at home, Coles bike screamed "new retro", which I really dig, and Hank's bike just plain looked traditional, which is also cool.

Like someone else said, "not to get all up Cole's****", but his particular style of bobbers made me decide that it was OK to like bikes again. They're wikked cool, and just ooze hot rod attitude.
