I am pulling my last hairs out trying to get my girls falcon to run right. It has a fresh built 200 done at a shop, new single advance distributor, I just put a carter off of a jeep on it a known good running carb for a test, looks like the ford but an inch taller. The car has had the same problem from day one, it idles rough and dies in gear? New cap, plugs, coil, rotor -points set to spec, new wires, new C4 trans, I set the timing to spec 6 degrees with the advance unhooked. The engine has a mild cam not supposed to have a lumpy idle. Could it possibly be the trans? Any ideas would help, Thanks all. Merry Christmas.
