Hi all, Just wanted to interduce myself and say hi. Back in Calif after a 7yr absence, and getting intouch with old friend and make some new ones. Troy
Thanks guys..I have been trying to get some of my projects going especially my 66 Cyclone tribute Sedan to have ready for the March Meets I also got a Datsun Roadster AA/Fuel altered 417 Donovan idea that Im trying to make realitly, It would make one hell of a mach race for the Winged Express..lol..I guess when I posted an ad for some cars that are for sale here locally at my friends yard I didn't follow the rules exactly..lol..so after I go out there today to take some more pictures i will repost within the rules specs..in the meantime some of y'all can check out my photobucket http://s237.photobucket.com/albums/ff85/njnascarfanz29/Wrecking Yard Cars and Parts/ Troy
Thanks again guys. I appreciate it. I have been into cars since I was taken to my first March Meets in '69. and growing up there being that pesky kid in the pits helping as much as allowed and trying to learn everything I can for some of the best wrenchers. Terrorizing the streets of east Bakersfield I had a blast growing up here..Did the most stupid thing by moving to New Jersey in 04 just to get hurt seriously in 06 by having a semi truck hood slamming shut on me at work one day. Now with 3 herniated discs in my neck which causes my hands and fingers go numb. So wrenching on my toys is a bit of a challenge so to speak..but it's my way of therapy and giving the finger to the system that I wont go down. I do worry that I wont have the Cyclone project ready for the March Meets but im trying to collect the parts for it. I just recently got a 69 Lincoln 460 for it and a buddy is bringing a 9" housing from back east next month. Little by little I'll get this nasty Cyclone ready..After that then it on to project Kamikaze. A AA/Fuel Altered 69 Datsun Roadster ..That one should be really fun match race against the Winged Express...anyone want to lend a hand? lol...Thank again for the warm welcome guys Troy
Hey from TN, went to Bracket Nationals in the middle of a mayonnaise farm in Bakersfield in the 70's. Lost in the semi's, red eye, but a lot of fun.
Happy new year and welcome, every piece of tin on that yard would be sold in Sweden, if someone tried, maybe not the Datsun.
