I am temted to start negotiations with an owner of an all original 32 full fendered roadster with dropped axle and newer interior (but very original looking...). It has the original V8 and transmission, was repainted a few years back, no rust at all.
If I would buy it I have to sell at least one of my toys...what is a deuce roadster worth in these days???
    thanks guys!

You are all wet with your prices. NADA list them at $48,700.
I just put in an order for three of them! (;o

Check Hemmings Motor News ... for comparison.

I know of one that just changed hands here in the states for 80 thousand.
BUT it was very nice. It was a a past AACA Senior winner. V8 car with 6 wheels and all the do-dads :) Less than 300 miles since a complete frame off restoration about 10 years ago.

It was a estate sale. The older man who had it p***ed away. He almost never drove it ( :( just too much $$$ and time invested ) . It is BLACK and just perfect. There are some other Deuces and Deuce parts not yet sold in his estate ... but the cars are just too, too nice and too much $$$ for this old retired guy.

I would say somewhere in the 75 to 85 thousand range.

  12. If its original which I bet there is alot of non-original parts mixed with original 70Gs+ is right on target. Deuce Roadster and Deuce Merchant would be the guys in the "KNOW" here on the board. An OG roadster I have driven here in Calimexico unrestored didn't meet reserve on e-gay for $70,000 awhile ago. In my humble opinion, I think the $60 to $80K figures tossed about are just not realistic in view of the softened market. However if it's an original V8 car as it is proported, I'll give it mid-$50K as a base price for a non-restored gennie.

A friend of mine just purchased a super mint stock roadster for under $50K. The asking prices for Deuces are normally not the transaction price. A street rod (Henry produced) roadster was just sold here in LA for $85K and it was a really nice 80's build. Here is a photo of a SO-CAL built nice Brookville roadster for $65K.

Ya know I bought one about 9 years ago that was a b-model and it had been restored I gave 7500 for the car, it had all LB int and top was Tan body with Brown fenders, Stone stock with the 4-banger and the mech brakes. I drove it for about 2 weeks around Branson, sold it for 20,000 to a guy in california, thought I had done great on that one! Wow little did I know! Live and learn! LOL Jim

For me here in the in the mist of my "light" weight monies, that would mean
    me selling the toy maker.
There can be no negotiations of value, based only on what the seller would take.

This one was bought by a friend in 2005 for what I thought was big, & fair, $$$ at the time. Kennedy's Hot Rod Shop installed a dropped axle, juice brakes with Buick drums, '40 wheels, a chopped windshield, & original Pontiac taillights. The decision to install the lights was painful.

He rarely drives it. He has a fuel injected '57 283 on a stand & has been threatening to install it.

Peter, it has a stock "heavy" axle, not dropped, and the interior is original (but obviously recovered) the writing on the reverse of one of the door cards had a date of 1980 written on it.btw, the repaint was done 2 months ago...glad to see the valuations....It seems I`m giving it away !might have to have a rethink now....

No two cars are alike as to condition and how they were restored or survived, so the prices range from 35 to 75 grand. These prices are in the last 6 months as I have been looking. If you cant see them in person its really hard to say what there worth as some look good on the outside but when you start going over them you see its not worth anywhere near what the seller is asking for it. Most nice ones are in the 50 range that actually sell.

In a year's time, the cheapest original roadster that I saw sell on E-bay was $65,000, it was in Calif., full fendered, 327, 4spd, beautiful old driver.

    The 80 grand DEUCE was perfect ... ( 99 points )
It took a while to sell ...

The 32 roadster with the 55 is NICE ... and I myself would rather have it than the AACA perfect car ... but it will not bring the $$$ the perfect car did IMHO. But it should get fairly CLOSE ... to the money.

75/80 grand is a LOT of money to most folks ... but there are folks out there who can and will spend that and more for the car they want.

There is quite a few 32 Fords on the HAMB that 75/80 thousand dollars will not buy ...

A friend sold one last year for $65,000. It went from Pennsylvannia to California. However this was an old hot rod...Merc flathead, Auburn dash insert, chrome front wishbones, full hood, old black lacquer paint, etc..rust free. . I've seen finished Brookville cars done nostalgic selling for 35-45K.

I would imagine that an all original one would be worth good money too as original collectors would dish out the cash too for something is really nice shape.

I know I would rather have a hotrodded roadster than a completely original one, but are they bringing the same money.
