What is the bad decision you are talking about? Going out driving, this could have been any car, and I'm sure it was not the only accident that day!

Your right it wasn't the only one, my daughter rolled my truck on Christmas eve, she 's ok just a little sore. I wish the best for that family.

Same thought was going through my mind. Started as a fun outing and went tragic. I Hope they all pull through, what a terrible thing to have happen.

We're hoping for updates as well. Our local news "coverage" is dicey at best. I have to admit that when they said it was a "model T type car", I had another rant at the television.
It's never a good time of the year for something like this to happen, but Xmas has got to be the worst.
Let's hope for a speedy recovery for driver, p***engers, and hot rod.

Wow, what a rotten deal on Christmas eve. I was in Lee Summit(KC area) yesterday and it was slick in spots. We drove the wife's car which has Dunlop snow tires and left the "hotrod" Roush at home.

Thoughts and prayers out for a speedy recovery.

I would imagine he was referring to the decision to take the car out on icy, dicy roads.

    So sad.
    Pray they are okay.
We took a little spin in the 30 with someone in the rumble seat Christmas Eve. Just a little fun.
    Sure hope they are okay.

I hope they are OK. Still don't understand what they were doing out in icy conditions.

Why the hell was were they even out if the roads were that bad? By the looks of things they were going WAY to fast anyways! VERY poor judgement on the drivers part, hope all the p***engers are ok! Being a tow truck driver myself, I see this **** everyday. "hey watch this..." BOOM, some innocent people hurt for no reason. Yeah, Merry Christmas, hope you enjoyed the ride... pisses me off to no end!

Yes and then throw in a bit of black ice and tires that aren't designed for icy conditions and you are in trouble. Sad to see what should have been a fun trip down the road end up like that.

Hope that they all recover ok.

And yes what seems like a great idea at the time sometimes ending up being a case of bad judgement.

Hope they all make it through this.

I sure wish I had perfect judgement.

I have done some dumb stuff in my time, poor judgment.

Thank God that no one was killed or injured due to my poor judgement.

As I get older I don't have this problem as often but there are times where I say to myself, "damn Mike that was stupid! Don't do that again!"

The fact that I have done alot of dumb stuff allows me to keep my mouth shut about what caused this accident. You know the old saying about the pot calling the kettle black.

What a shame, a teenager died because of somebody's stupidity. I hope the others survive.

I don't see how you can say the driver was was doing anything stupid,I doubt any of you know exactly what happened.I know weather may have been a factor but i don't think going for a joyride is stupid they could have crashed a late model just the same.I hope the rest of them pull through OK.

I agree...so many on here jump to conclusions without knowing anything or only listening to the media who want sensationalism. I pray for the recovery of the other three folks and especially for the driver...who has to really be suffering.

Car accidents are the #1 cause of death for 17 yr. olds, but as a p***enger in girlfriend's grandpa's car is just unbelievable. Prayers for family and friends.
