Fingers crossed, and a very special finger for the thief.

I hope somehow the wallet really proves to be the key to catching him and returning the supercharger!

I am doing that here in Reno & surrounding areas. I suggest everyone will do that also. You never know it could be sold out of state.

Bump for the Early Ford Store. Went yesterday to talk with Mike and Bill ....the wallet they found was full of FAKE ID's, they are still looking for clues. It's taken Bill years and a lot of hard work to make that store what it is, it's a shame this happened.

  13. The wallet had 3 ID's inside, phone numbers, welfare card and some other stuff, no money. All 3 ID's were old but with the same name, so they were not fake. The address was from Visalia, although the wallet was dropped by the guy who took off on the bike, so it is believed he is staying in the area. The Frenzel left with whoever drove away in the truck.

Basically the guy on the bike grabbed it, threw it in the bed of the truck that was running ready to get away, and the guy on the bike went in the opposite direction as the truck sped away. I started running after the guy on the bike, and as he got on his bike he must have dropped his wallet. I chased him for a few blocks, but since he had a head start and was on a bike he got away.

The whole thing ****s , but at least you've got a solid lead . Hopefully the cops will grab that punk and put a little pressure on him & he'll give up the other knob-gobblers . Then they can ALL go up the river !

I hope the stolen parts are returned, I also hope it was just a few junkies looking to make a buck and not a planned order-filling.

I don't know about the justice system where you guys live but I'd be willing to bet that SFA will happen to the thieves.

The stolen parts will be returned but the thieves get jack **** for punishment and are let out to do it again.

    Sad but true.

Personally, I think thieves should have their hands cut off.

  22. I think when they are caught they should be turned over to the folks on this board, we could give a new meaning to the term, "Hamb Drags" couple of miles should do it........

  23. Man, thats one reason why I moved out of the LA Area 30 yrs ago. Too many theives, druggies, & killings. Not to mention I refuse to learn how to speak spanish.

Hate to say it , and this may offend some folks, but this really rare stuff usually p***es from "insider" to "insider" and never gets on the market. Think these guys may have been hired? Understandably, we all want to think it's someone outside the hobby. Frankly, I doubt a druggie would even think to go in a store like that without some coaching.

Just putting this out there and I probably already know the answer but....
Would it be wrong to put up a copy of the ID here (***uming there is a photo)?
Thinking that it really is a small world and these guys may have a hot rod connection, so someone may recognize the dude?
It is amazing who knows who and the HAMB is a huge network.

    Just thinking out loud.

  29. This souds like a heist more than a random theft. This part will resurface eventually. I hope some of the info present in the wallet gets to people who can put a real name with a face and put that face out for the authorities to capture. People near Visialia might know this person from the ID pictures and welfare card? Sounds like you should go talk to the people who issue the "free" money to these worthless pieces of ****. I am sure they will still try to collect their "free" money and thats when they get caught. We have the technology to track these thiefs down. Utilize what little I have spoke about above to help.-Weeks
