I have to ask this question, I don't know if it's been asked before. Which do you prefer The Ford Model A or the 1932 Ford. Show pictures to support your side.
love model A's, but could be "forced" to like a 32.. haha. i think if you have the money to buy one, you probably like the 32 a little more, being a one year only car. most people will tell you they like the model A better, because they can actually afford one, and can't afford a 32, like ME! maybe some day i'll be able to afford a 32 and then i might like them better.....
I'll give you a clue......... for me A's are much more affordable... Yes a 32 would be nice but unless my numbers come up it's not going to happen.
'32 Ford by far but that doesn't mean that a Model a isn't on my top 5 list. The '32 Ford is just a far meaner but at the same time more refined car. Sure the visor on a model a looks cool but when you take it away and then couple that with all of the details on a '32 it's a no brainer. Reasons I love a '32 Ford more then a Model A? •Comes stock with the nicest frame ever. •Removal of visor reveals the sophistication of the entire design. •Driver sits 2" deeper so the shoulder is often level with window bottom •The slight curvature of the bottom rocker rather then the Model a being flat •Body lines are nicer •The 25 louvre Hood •Looking at old Magazines and books and seeing that the car that you own was THEE car to have back in the day making the driving sensation visceral. Don't get me wrong, a Model A is rad and without a doubt make some of the coolest hot rods around but the '32 is just the IT car. Note: the '28-'29 roadster actually is the only body style out of all of the model A's that contend with the '32. It could actually stand toe to toe with history because of it's use. So if we were comparing the '32 roadster with the '29 roadster the challenge to choose would be much more difficult. Note: Also I'd like to say that there is almost nothing prettier then a bone stock Model A Pickup painted black. That's one of my weak points in the argument.
Also, why do you think so many Model A owners throw '32 stuff on their cars (i.e. '32 Grille Shell, '32 Frame, '32 Heavy Axle, '32 Wire wheels even!) That's gotta say something.
I like the Model A. The 32 coupe looks too thick above the rear fender and I don't like the rounded look of the roof over the windshield. I like the flatness of the "A" roof.
A model of coarse. Mostly because I just can't justify the money difference. '32 stuff is just crazy money. That's just me though....
That is very true! Never thought of it that way. But, no '32 gets me going like the Kennedy Coupe. That is the decision maker for me.
I will always love a 32 ford, especially a five window but the odds of me ever having enough money to own one are slim to none. I may have a shot at a model a. This is one I saw in Charlotte this year. This car blew me away.
I have a stock 31 model A coupe, and a 3window 32 project. I know I got a lot more car for the money when I bought the model A. I really like them both and am having a tough time convincing myself to alter the model A. The 32 is way beyond restoration. I have no plans other than pure hot rod for the 32. I have a 40 ford coupe that I can actually drive. I like it best at the moment. I sought these particular vehicles out because to me they are the essence of American hot rods.
