I am looking for information on the midgets my grandfather, Alton "Pop" Jones, built and raced in the late 40's and early 50's in the northeast. The last I knew was that the #6 car was crashed at Hudson Speedway in New Hampshire. I am hoping to find one of the cars in restorable condition to buy. Please see attachments. Arundel30,try posting your pictures and questions,on the cageless midget thread elsewhere on this site. The guys there are full of knowledge and very helpful.....Rich OOPS Gary beat me.....
That is great advice, but being a new guy I'll bet he doesn't know it is here. The sprint car and Racing 1894-1944 threads are two of my favorites. So much info on the HAMB, so little time. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=337192&highlight=cageless+midgets Click on this link.
I had asked a question about the #6 car, where you had previously posted this .. here on the H.A.M.B.. You NEVER answered.
I definately have a new guy problem; I get lost on this. This is the first forum I've participated in. Dan
Things move real fast on the HAMB, 8-10 pages of posts per day so it is easy to get lost. I'd stick to the Cageless Midget thread since there is more Midget interest and knowledgable guys there. Look for the blue flag on posts you have replied to, makes searching day to day quicker.
