I'm going with the "A", that's what I grew up around. Mine's got a 50's/60's style custom grill shell.
Henry Ford didn't make a car before 1932 so this is just one question I'll ignore. Some newbies just like to test us old farts to see if we're still conscious. Nice try!! Frank
Model A. They are similar to the early Beatles music, pure and innocent and simple. The deuce is similar to Strawberry Fields and everything after.
GUESS ... ! I have NEVER owned a Model A but I do really like them. If you like 32's ... then you must also like Model A's because the family lineage is so evident ... 1 ) the 32 is a little larger ... 2 ) the 32 has a little longer wheelbase. 3 ) The cowl vent ... looks better than the fuel cap on the Model A. 4 ) Most everything on a 32 is a improved Model A 5 ) the doors do not overlap on a 32 ... 6 ) The 32 has vastly better looking bumpers. 7 ) The 32 has a much better, stronger frame 8 ) the 32 is the first Ford to have a grille ( and it is a beautiful grille ) 9 ) the 32 has more room under the hood for a V8 10 ) The 32 has a beautiful dash ... especially when compared to a Model A ... ________________________ Someday I may own a Model A ... if I do it will most likely be a 29 sedan ...
Model A. I have had five. All Henrys. All full fendered somewhat restorod style. At one time I owned four of those at the same time. Some running, some not. '29 Tudor '29 roadster '30 Cabriolet '30/31 coupe (32 grille) '31 roadster (32 grille) I have been close to buy '32 repop steel roadster and I was late and then there was 5W available in Germany but I chose to buy my '31 roadster from NY. At that time I was sold my Tudor and wanted a roadster again. I also have had 27/28 Chevy roadster. Late Model A pickup would be nice someday and definitely another 28/29 roadster too. Maybe 32 roadster someday but no any closed model for me thanks. Then I may think 33 to 36 roadster or cabriolet... not really, maybe little too large for my taste. some pics.
Okay, today I feel like offering myself up to the HAMB alter as a sacrificial retard. Are you guys ready for this? I can't tell the difference, never have been able to, probably never will. They just look like hot rods to me, some is nice, some is not so nice. Anyone else out there Wanna own up to being a hot Rod retard? Let the flaming begin! Paul
#1, 36 3-window, rolling art, looks like it's going 100 mph standing still, taillights stretching out like its going through a worm hole into a different dimension of time and space...the 36 in the flesh looks like an artist's conception of a car at speed. #2, 32 3-window, beautiful frame, shell and dash, flush doors, longer wheel base for better road manners, designed for a V8, with a comfortable window opening to rest your arm, all with little or no modification. Can't imagine ever owning a steel one, but it might happen someday. #3 Chopped Model A coupe with the visor that makes it the most sinister looking car around, barebones, raw and hard-edged. Affordable and just as much fun to drive as a steel 32 that I would probably worry about and never leave parked downtown.
I'll go with the 32' Look up the word HOT ROD in the dictionary there will a pic of a deuce there....
The model A is the last of the straight up windshield "carriages", and this is why I've come to enjoy their particular lines. Had a '31 coupe for 18 years and a '31 roadster for 4. The '32 is the first of the streamline era cars, gorgeous in it's own way.
Both are up there but financially,a 31 can be built to compete with the over rated and very overpriced 32.
i would say the model a, not just cause i have one, but i think it looks a bit meaner. the 32 looks funny to me. id say the model a with a duece grill looks awesome. when i think of hot rod i think of a chopped model a coupe.
