Well, I fell and busted my *** and smacked the back of my head on the concrete in front of my shop this morning. Thought I was going to die. My neck is sore as hell but everything else still seems to work. The damned snow melted and refroze last night. I was trying to move enough snow to get my pickup out of the shop when I stepped back onto a patch of the ice and "BAM!" A 0ne millisecond lapse in concentration was all it took. I hate ice.

Welcome to my world all you southern boys! Actually it ain't been too bad here in the Northwoods this year ( so far ). Only 4-5 inches, that's everyday stuff here. Supposed to hit 40 degrees in a couple days, plannin' on gettin' the Harley out for a quick run. Yeeha!

Seriously, rockable, sorry to hear ya' fell. It's a drag gettin' whiplash without bein' anywhere near a car. I've done it too--ain't no fun. Hope you're better in a few days.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all! Drive safe until ya' see pavemant again!

    Eddie.

    Oh snap!

I'm orignally from Montana. I miss going to play in the snow, but don't miss the snow coming to see me, and messing EVERYTHING up. Since I have lived in FL for 7 years, I don't really miss plugging in the car so it'll start, freezing my **** off on an ice cold shop floor, shoveling my car out of drifts, working outside in the ****...etc

6 more years and I'll move back up north, until then, somebody make me a snowman!

I don't like snow and don't pretend to. If I never saw another flake, that would be ok by me. Slepe67, it doesn't sound like you're missing it. :)

  7. The last white Christmas recorded in Atlanta was around 1896... we got about 2 inches on Sat night!

Total opposite up here!! First green Christmas in I don`t know how many years. We have had years without Snow on Christmas day but there was snow down. Not a flake to be seen in these parts. Not cold at all. Where is Bing Crosby when you need him. Not up here that for sure!! On the other hand We can do without. Seen this picture more then once growing up!!

  11. Deuces,

Any time we ge snow down here it turns into 3 days of mayhem-the locals just don't know how to handle it (or drive in it).

I grew up in Philly and Mrs.Yankee's family moved to Buffalo during the Blizzard of '77, so it's nothing new to us, but not seeing a white Christmas in 100+ years is pretty amazing- our 2 year old had a blast!
