Sunday Models 26/12/10

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by whodaky, Dec 25, 2010.

  1. A Quick question. Has anyone got an AMT 40 Sedan Delivery body they don't want? I only need a body, can be painted and from the parts box it doesnt need to be pristine.
I chopped one but its terrible, shockingly so! And l realy want to do it right.

A good friend of mine built this 6 or 7 years ago from two 1/18th diecasts. The body is a, modified from stock,'69 Nova. The ch***is is from some weird John Force '70 Pontiac funny car diecast. With a lot of cutting and fitting, he came up with this. The body flips like it should. After lots of tries to buy it, he gave it to me when I moved from Virginia. Good friend! Excuse the Exacto knife holding the body, I couldn't find the correct pole. :D

Great metalwork! What did you use or how did you make the wheel discs?

Here you go Brant aka Jaws. This one was probably started well 20 years ago, maybe I will complete it some day. Monogram 1/24th plastic.

The other one Brant wanted to see. Cobbled together race car from 1/18th diecast lefts overs.

To everyone who posted this week, I thankyou. I know it is a busy time of the year for people. But I know I for one still need to get away from it all and see what is happening in here. Great models as usual and thankyou to all those that don't build, but always offer encouragment to those of us who do.
OK I had best go and work on some small stuff.

Boy, for a holiday Sunday this sure is a strong showing. The track nose '34 is gonna be stunning. And that B/D is superb. Of course Lyle's period custom Chevy is, as usual, flawless.

Here's a project I just finished last weekend, a full bellypan Deuce channeled 6" with a z'd frame and suicide front end. The windshield is chopped 3". The wheels and tires are from Modelhaus (item T-640). Hope you all like it.

Outrageous doesn't describe it!! I want to see Geoff recreate the radiator shell emblem, looks like he could do it.

May I ask... what brand and color name is that blue paint? It has a lot of depth to it.

Rusty... That 41 Pickup looks sweet. What a great kit to build. I bought one to part into my '39 delivery for the stock pieces, then realized I should have bought two...
