I'm very sorry to hear it, I know exactly how you feel, my father p***ed early Sunday morning yesterday right after Christmas, his favorite holiday He was 87 and if not for him, I wouldn't be into cars, or atleast way behind the curve. It's still sinking in. I'm 30 and have a 11 and 6 yr old boy to tell, it's scares the hell out of me. I have no idea how to tell them their papa just died. I don't want to ruin their xmas.
When I saw the ***le to your thread I let out a groan. I just cannot imagine the double whammy of losing a great dad and have it happen on Christmas Day. I wish you some solace with the p***age of time brother.
Sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing with us somebody that was very special to you. My condolences to your family & I will pray for comforting for you family. Shawn

I would like to Thank EVERYONE who posted on here. Without a doubt, Car guys/Women are the absolute greatest people in the world. Thank You one and all. Jerry
I lost my mother a few years ago.I know how you feel.Just be strong & remember the times you shared together. That's the way he would have wanted it. The best times are lost times. Believe that.
Jerry you don't have to thank us, that's part of why we're here. Make your father proud and be strong for your boys and the rest of your family. I'll be honest I'm not a man that prays but if you need to talk; keep posting or even shoot me a PM and I will do what I can. Even though you might not know half of us....in an unexplainable way we are your extended family. Some of us have lost our father and feel your pain. Those of us that haven't can value our Dad-time a little more. Thank you for posting and sharing this very personal event, it speaks volumes about your character. Take care of yourself Jerry and be the best dad you can be, I have no doubt you will. ___Paul
Your in our thoughts and prayers! I know about losing your best friend as well as your Dad, lost mine 23 years ago. Hold on to those memories!
Lost my Dad three years ago. He introduced me to drag racing when I was a kid. Right after his funeral we went to the IHRA Mopar Drags at Grand Bend Ontario which was the same day and as a couple of Top Fuelers crossed the finish line I let out a bit of my Dad's ashes in memory of him. Very emotional but today when I'm at the track or in my shop Dad is with me. He will be there every step of the way with you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us all here.
Im sorry for you and your families loss .I lost my dad exactly 4 years ago today after a 5 year stuggle with congestive heart failure ,so i know how you feel right now .My mom still has a hard time with it around the holidays ,but its getting easier for her each year.It will get better in time ...
My Dad built a work bench and installed it in his shop just last year but never really used it. I moved it into my shop next to my work bench and it completes my shop. Got all his tools as well and it is just like you say, every time I go out to the shop I can feel his presence. Right there beside me urging me along like he always did in the early years. Thanks again to all on here that have posted. Best crowd around! Jerry
