I will take a dozen. Seriously though I hate hearing stories like this. Hopefully there are enough people here on the hamb and other places you put the word out and with such a reconisable part it should pop up and hopefully lead to the s*** bag that took it. I and all my car buddies here in Bako have our eyes out.

Let's hope it doesn't ended up being recycled. That would be worse than the theft itself.

Why does the world have to be full of s*** like that? It would be nice if there was a way flush them off the face of the earth. Maybe adapt Islamic law for thieves??!!

might try hemmings with a picture ad. some folks don't do computers much. if it had a distinguishing mark or number don't reveal it publicly. best of luck. been there know the pissed off, sick feeling.

If you google frenzel supercharger you get at least a page of "STOLEN frenzel supercharger". These guys have got to know whats going on and what they got. They've probably serched to see what they stole is worth or to show thier tweeker friends. They will more than likely be very scared. That thing may not see the light of day for a long time. Hopefully someone finds it, but hell if someone found it they might be to scared to say they did because of all the threats.

dont worry it will show up again. tweekers are ****en stupid! they will get caught when they try to pawn it, or sale it!

  15. When I posted this I had no idea it was going to be all over google like that, or show up on the search engines that fast. I google'd Frenzel Supercharger myself the same night it was stolen and it had already showed up everywhere on the page saying it was stolen. We'll have to wait and find out to see if that was good or bad.

What about posting it on craigslist with a "return it, and no questions will be asked" line. Maybe with all the heat, that may keep them from just tossing it in a dumpster.

man.. that really ****s... I recently had my car stolen, the night it was stolen it was used in a robbery, multiple hit and runs, and a high speed chase... I posted flyers the next day all around the area I figured the car would be (North Omaha, Carter Lake).. 5 minutes after I posted the last flyer I got 3 phone calls.. one from a gas station clerk who was watching the thief put gas in the car.. one from a person who was hit by my car (and new the thief), and one from someone who almost got hit by it.. They ditched the car that night, but it took about a week to find it.. Now the thief has been on "Heartland's Most Wanted" and is wanted in Omaha, Council Bluffs, and surrounding areas for theft, robbery, controlled substances, ***ualt on an officer.. etc. (the car was ot, but it was a gift from my dad and meant more to be than most people lol, glad I got it back)

It's only a matter of time before peoples actions catch up to them... I hope you get your super charger back, and I hope when you do the thieves get more than the slap on the wrist I suspect they will get... That's a great piece of history and it'll be a shame if it gets turned in for s****, or forgotten about..

I'm a firm believer in karma...

on a side note, I seem to remember a picture of one of these a while back in some Swap Meet coverage in R&C or Street Rodder... same one?

  20. So a few days ago, they found a wallet that belonged to the thief. So with that you would think, if you looked inside you might find ID with an address. Now if the cops are working on the case wouldn't there be information by now?
I forgot this is in the LA Area & the cops are off duty till 2011.

  21. There was a mistake, the wallet actually belonged to someone else. It didn't belong to the people that took the item.

  22. I know its a long shot but I check Craigslist here in Reno everyday looking for it.

I hope everyone who reads this thread is doing the same thing.

    Any updates on the Frenzel?

  24. For those of you that wanted an update..

The actual people that were here and ***ociated with stealing the item have all been caught and arrested, except the one person who picked it up and grabbed it, although the police is aware of who he is. The carburetors were recovered, but the Frenzel exchanged hands to someone else and they do not have any leads on who that might me.

The police are still working on it, but I think they have taken it as far as it can go.

Mike, if they've caught the majority of the thieves, then it's just a matter of time before they catch the last one... police work is kind of an "all or nothing" gig: You catch the *******s and there's a good chance you can recover the property.

Good luck, still rootin' for ya up here in wheat country,
    Rich

That ****s. 10 to 1 those a-holes know exactly where it is. Hope someone with some powers of persuasion can talk to them a little bit and get it back. Somebody is in the possession of stolen property and that itself is a crime.

time to build some display cases? at least run a steel wire type thing around those desirable pieces, no one will look down on you for that.

Not if they had absolutely no idea the item was stolen.

Buying anything secondhand, you always stand the remote chance of the cops turning up, confi****ing the item, and giving you a very hard time trying to get a confession.

Don't get me wrong, I hope the thieves get a hundred years for this, but there is always the chance that the guy that has it now is in no way involved.

Exposing the thief's is always a good idea. Let the Hambers know who they are and pictures are always a plus. With so much stealing going on all over having first hand information is always a plus and I am sure John Q public can dish out enough misery it's possible you will get the items back.
