rules

I am new to the board and I am a little confused on some of the rules, at the botom of the page it states I can not, respond to an ad, post an ad or reply. I would like to know why. Also I responed to a cl***ified ad for a car for sale. I requested a contact number since none was listed. My messsage was deleted with no explanation. can someone please advise.

the site doesn't want you posting on the ads. with the amount of traffic the hamb sees, an ad would be bumped down several pages in no time if it allowed posting of questions. the preferred method to contact a seller is through a private message.
also, you may want to read the stickies at the top of each section. they contain the rules and valuable info.

 

And never say the word "Rat". Someone will bite your head off!

 

If you can read it's pretty easy to figure out. Maybe there needs to be some picture instructions like the picture menus at McD's....
