Building a 29 model pickup. Flathead and T-5 S-10 trans. Using a speedway chevy adapter plate for chevy throw out arm. The car is channeled and just wanting to do something clean. 3 pedals and steering column packed into a very tight area...any ideas

I just finished these up today. They're '47 to '50 something pedals. Works great, just like Henry intended...and no pesky leaking hydraulic fluid from clutch linkage. Car is a 30-31 coupe with 1 inch channel, 59AB Flatty and T5.

Just wondering...with the gas pedal on top of the trans tunnel, isn't it awkward to get to? Or does it just look that way in the pic?

No, it's not a bit awkward as the pics may make it look. In fact the tunnel makes in more comfortable. Without it you would proally need a foot peg along side it like the original model A had.

    Hey man,
I just did the same thing. Really tight but totally doable. I ended up bending both pedals toward the drivers side. At the top of the brake pedal I bent it back towards the passenger side a bit to get spacing for the pedals and steering column. The clutch pedal clears the side of the frame by about 1/4 inch and the brake clears the slave cylinder by wraping around it. It sounds a little wierd but it looks good and runs through the floor true cause you don't want a big wide hole for the pedal... The other option is a hydrolic throw out bearing. It sits on the input shaft in the bell housing and you only have 2 stainless lines running out of the bell housing. (no fork) You can then cut the slave cylinder mount off the tranny and get a tonne more clearance for your pedals.

    Take care.

Awesome thread, can't wait to dive into fabricating a set of 51 F-100 pedals I have laying around to fit my girlfriends 28 Tudor.
