I am attaching the photos that I can find right now I will look for more later. Sorry for the quality but these were before I had good equipment and also before I started photographing for the racing papers. My photobucket account is full so I couldn't clean these up.

Here are photos of the Trickle car and I am going to throw in a couple of Red Farmers Torino for good measure.

This is all that it took for Cale to spin him, note the little mark on the rear of the quarter panel right below the swich on the back of the M in Mercury.

    A couple of different prospectives:

    Pit road at North Wilksboro:

An uncomfortable Jeff Gordon at North Wilksboro, this was almost my last set of passes as I waited and waited and no one went out to help him. I was just before droping my bags and heading that way when the track truck arived. They frown on photographers going to the rescue.

Not a real car but here's a picture of a model I built a couple of years ago. Tried to make it lookk like what I remembered racing at the old Somerset(Ky) dirt track.[IMG]

Hi Falconred: I grabbed one of your pics, threw it into Photoshop and just hit Auto Contrast and Auto Color Correction. Helped a little...

Makara: Did a quick Google search on him and found results for him racing in Toledo, Winchester and Fla. (among other U.S. tracks) in the '70s.

Daytona, 1975. Trickle's Mercury was entered by Puro Racing, but that's Dick's hauler it's riding on. It was part of a big wreck early in the 500 that involved Jim Vandiver, Trickle, Lennie Pond, Ramo Stott, Joe Mihalic, and several others.

Farmer's big wreck came in the Permatex 300. He and Terry Mock got together and both did a series of wild flips.

This isn't the same car, but it is the same sponsor. Was this also Wayne ? This is one of the "unknown drivers" in my collection. Looks like a GTO to me.

Looks like the late sixties here in N GA. There were a couple of '57 Chevys that ran at Tri-County in the edge of NC.

I was in the garage area that year by way of a friend that was a NASCAR inspector and got these photos. I had a new camera and wasn't used to it yet. I followed Jimmy Carter as he went throught the garage area talking to people as he was running for president. I ran off 36 exposures of him but the film didn't go through the camera so I have nothing to show for it. I didn't know at that time I would be in several garage/pit areas later on when I started shooting photos for a couple of the racing papers.

    Hey Falconred,

Do you have any pictures from the 75 Daytona ARCA race? Looking for photos of Gene Taylor's 74 Dodge. He finished 3rd in the race and believe he was #9. Heard it might have been an ex-K&K car.

It was an ex-K&K car. I don't have any pics, but remember the car well; he ran it through '77. He used to letter on the quarter panel, "If you want to race, Daytona is the place."

By the way, I discovered last night that the aforementioned Terry Mock passed away in October of this year. He was a hell of a dirt driver, won a lot of races at Jax Raceways and Volusia County. Ran the Daytona Sportsman races for several years.

    Copley,

Was a GTO and I am not 100% sure but I think And I"m not sure of spelling Kenny McEldowney drove this first and I will need to check with Wayne if he ever drove this one. I think he did. Also enclosing a picture of a 1976 Laguna that was ready for one of the mile dirt tracks. Anyone know if K&M engineering is around anymore?

    Falconred,

    Do you know Jonathan Davenport?

I've seen Red Farmer in this thread a few times. I saw him race a dirt Super Late at Talladega Short Track in '05,and I think he still races.

Yes, he is from this area.

Red has been around forever. He still races from what I've heard also.

Red at Rocket Speedway in Dothan Alabama back in the seventies. The # 73 is Dave Mader.
