About the time it goes on stage they will cut to a commercial and return to the air with a restored '79 Trans Am.

The Ebay questions and answers were GREAT reading for sure, i even contributed.

Plowboy, you inspired me to get to work on my own stuff and stop putting it off.

  3. Given it's slotted in at lot# 1328.1 I would have to guess that the Atomic Punk will go across the block during SPEED's prime-time coverage on Saturday Night.

Last year my friend's Great-8 award winning '56 Chrysler Wagon was a feature car for the auction, used by Barrett-Jackson in a bunch of their advertising leading up to the auction, it was lot# 1311 and sold during SPEED's prime-time coverage on Saturday night. Like the Atomic Punk, it had been to the Playboy Mansion, although it ended up selling for way less then expected.

Maybe there's something about Playmates and B-J that don't go together? I guess we'll see if that's true then the Atomic Punk goes across the block. :D

  4. I would love to see a hamber get it, but ill bet it wont be going cheap. hope someone posts up the sale details for us fans who live outa the country.

If you want to be certain of seeing Atomic Punk on the block remember that speedtv.com does streaming of the entire auction. No commercials and you get the audio feed from the Assiter family, not the Speed announcers.

I think playmates and BJ goes hand in hand, that's why Heff keeps them around..

They should fly Plowboy out to B-J to talk about the car & 80's hair bands.

Has anyone seen the "re-paint"? Did they paint it as good as Creative Customs in St. Louis?

Did you guys notice in B-J's logo/header for thier website in promonant display 'one of the worlds top 100 ethical companies' banner? It makes me nervious when somebody makes that kind of statement, along the lines of 'WHO FARTED!' kind of thing. Like a smiling politician would say while trying to shake your hand.

Love the atomic punk. Saw it in salina few years ago. Love well designed bubble tops

  22. My exp. has been that the new owner can say whatever they want. They paid for that privilege. It never made it right but is it worth it to correct it as a former owner. The people that matter usually know who built what.

If she ever screamed in my face like she does to bidders I'd want to punch here in the face.

And the after the show moments in Hef's driveway. If Aaron was on the BJ auction telecast the ratings would be through the roof!

I just hope they mention who built the car, I read the add on b-j web site and it says nothing about him, just who the interior guy was! I hope they mention that it was built from scratch!

I suppose it would be a good opportunity for an eager self promoter to go out and make a name for themself, but since I don't build cars for a living and have no "shop" to promote (except forthe sale of an occasional T-shirt), I don't really care about getting my name out there. I would fly out there if they made it worth my while, but I sure as hell am not going to spend my own money going out to promote a car that I don't own. I don't have any skin in this game. Maybe the car being on TV will help me get rid of my remaining stock of Atomic Punk T-shirts though. ha ha

I'll keep checking the mailbox for a plane ticket, but I won't hold my breath. ha ha
