the hood looked like shit to me in the original picture but for $95 buck delivered that is what the market would bear, hell he could of asked for double that and somebody would have bought it and been ok with their purchase. just because somebody is on this site doesn't make them a saint. i know of a hamb member that his word is "worthless" as far as i'm concerned but karma will get you in the end.
Far from a "nice hood", but for $95 bones, I'd say you got value for what you spent. Fix it and be happy, or E-gay it with a $95 reserve and move on to a better piece. 'Nuff said on this topic people... move along, nothing to see here.
Okay, if you need a Model A hood why the hell wouldn't you get off your ass and go to a decent swap meet and buy one there? Even in Norwich every year there's at least one good, straight hood you can buy for $100 with the sides on it. Maybe it needs paint, maybe it's not show ready, but they're better than that one. But there are plenty of guys dealing in A parts, the one guy offered me one that had been flattened somehow, run over, but was at least in one piece when I told him I wanted an el-cheapo. They are not hard to find - What you got is a $50 hood, these guys who think you got screwed on it need to tell us where you can buy perfect ones for that money because I want to go buy a dozen to take to shows and put out for $100 and make a buck with, easy.
that aint bad for 50. also you have the rong year hood. just get a brookville or a glass one and stop making a big deal over nothing.
what do you want for 50 bucks ? Something fishy bout all this , the only problem is if he showed one hood & sold a different one. my$.02
50 bucks! did you expect more hood? if you got more than your money worth would we have heard about it?
With the $$$ you saved you could buy a WHAAmburger and a side of cries. For $95 shipped, you have about an evenings labor to strip it to bare steel and a lazy Sunday's labor to make it ready. Unless your time is worth $100/hr I don't see anything here worth bitchin about.
