I have a '27 Ford Roadster sitting in the wings that may be the next build - mainly 'cause it will be quick and cheap to build. After the '34 and all the work it has taken, I want something that I can do quickly. I have a spare set of model A rails and a 401 nailhead slated for the project, but I like the look of T-roadsters set up on '32 rails. I also wouldn't be against finding a nice old flatty and bolting in a 5-speed. The plan is CHEAP - I paid $207.50 for the Henry steel body, turtle deck, and a truck load of model A parts I've sold off at swap meets. Picked up the rails for $100, and got the nailhead and 400 turbo trans as part of a barter. With what I sold in the extra parts, and the profit I made in the barter deal, I figure I'm into it so far $0!
After my steel 3window. 29 Brookville roadster on original 32 rails, small QC, 5spd, Dodge Hemi or aluminum nailhead Buick Ago

Trying to decide which of the 3 classes of bar stools to build for a run at Bonneville!! Hey, you started it. peace
I know what it's not gonna be... it's not gonna be a complete ground up project!!! 51 Ford shoebox!!!
After I finish the '29 closed cab, I will finally move onto my '29 cabriolet. I am keeping it simple, just a body assembly and transfer onto a running chassis, with a modified banger, hydraulic brakes, tremec trans. Adding a dropped axle, 15" wheels, Merc caps, and wide whites are also in the plans. That will be close to the way I had it running back in 1963 while in high school. It was last running in 1964.
hmm. proally a 55 chevy or a 50's kustom as long as the body comes along for cheap, i got the ttime and dedication so its a little more realisitc

If I could talk the wife into letting me have another hotrod around the house I'd build a copy of Ohio George's 33 Willys gasser!
You said be realistic, at this point I dont think I will be taking another project but would make an exception for a '52 Hudson or a '68 Charger...
After the '30 Roadster and the Lyndwood rail are done a '56 Ford big window F-100 for a daily driver.
Doing a 29 tudor on a 32 frame now. Would like to do a 28-29 roadster on a 32 frame and a 37 tudor slant back. Don't know which would come first.
After I get my Caddy done, I really want a 47-53 buick. I go back and forth in my mind on the year. Keep the straight 8 and just a basic low buck build. Nothing fancy, just a cool cruiser. But I have not seen a decent one in this area in a couple of years. I do know where a 1950 lincoln sits waiting to be finished. Somebody's old project. Another one I would like in this area is a gmc canopy express, forget the year but it is a short AD truck. Any truck I would do would be built to serve as a truck. So I would probably put in some sort of v8 and a decent modern manual transmission. Though if I found something decent with a straight 6 I might leave it fairly stock. Really I am pretty open as to my next project. Whatever is cool and within my budget. I have found one or two rolls royces that are close to my budget. But just outside it right now. And it would be cool to rod a Rolls Royce. Not sure what motor, but the blower would stick through the hood.
I was just thinking about this subject and did a search, and here it is. I was wanting a 60 chevy 2 or 4 door sedan at one point or a 61 or 63 fullsize ford wagon,or a late 50s early 60s vauxhall, holden or opel wagon. I also thought about a metro stepvan that I know of, a while back. Maybe if I decide to paint my 55 this spring,I will get excited and quit looking for something else....but I seriously doubt it ....anyone else thinking of something new and exciting?
Model A or early 30's pickup, uncut body with traditional suspension upgrades, 5 speed with a 2.3 Ford 4 banger. And I want to drive the crap out of it.
