Greasmonkey is my name, also known as Jacob. I have a few cars 66 elcamino 63 novawagon 72 chevy truck a custom bike I built and my new prize possesion is a 54 lincoln capri. This car is a challenge thou, I have it completely stripped at the time. I would like to change the front end to disc brakes with an air bag system all the way around. My question to all who read this; I don't know what is cars or trucks are similar to my lincoln. Or should I say without getting too expensive what kind of front end or disc brake kit should or could I buy. Thank you

Welcome, I use to shoot sporting clays in Gilroy and Morgan Hill when I lived in San Jose in 2000! Can't help ya on the brakes, get a Falcon/Comet, and I am your man!
Welcome from Hollister. If the front end is the same as a 54-56 ford car then you could use granada or torino spindles & disc brake(75-80).Will also lower car 1.5-2 inches.
my self I would do a complete rebuild on your drum brakes the lincoln had a good braking system if maintained well. If I remember the lincoln had a larger drum surface than the ford drum and most lincolns had power brakes as standard equip. I put the granada disk and spindle converstion on my 56 t-bird what i found it moved my wheel out about 1-1 1/2 in caused problems had to have wheels made with different offsent. Myself I'm going back to drums.
