Farmer12, besides having a bad*** 41 Plymouth, is also a true hot rodder. After talking back and forth about the Plymouths for the better part of a year, he knew I was looking for a stock steering wheel for a 41 Plymouth. He sent me one, on his own dime without allowing me to pay him back (from overseas). Just asked me to pay it forward. I believe this is the true meaning of hot rodding... helping out a fellow hot rodder. Karma kinda thing. Thanks Farmer12! I look forward to paying it forward! I hope everyone else can do the same... Happy Holidays...
That is too kool! That is what Rodding is all about. It's not all about the cars but the friends we make along the way.
That's what you call a "CL*** ACT" ! I'm a true believer that what goes around comes around....Congrats!
Mike, it was a pleasure. The person that got me started and should receive credit is Wayne (40streetrod here on the Hamb) by sending me a Hemi connecting rod to be used as a column drop. He wanted no money for it and shipped it overseas to me free of charge. This was such a great gesture that this spurred me on to help others. I hope more people will get inspired to do the same in this wonderful hot rod community we have. Happy New Year everyone! Eric/farmer12
Only thing to say is "Thank you for being you." this proves that you are a genuine person, and being a hotrodder is only one of the hats you wear.
Cl*** act all the way-you can tell by his workmanship & the time he takes to answer nearly every compliment in his build thread. I've done this for years with motorcycle parts & would do it with car parts if somebody has the need.....as long as they use it & if not, "give" it to somebody who will....not take it, then turn around & sell it.
It would be nice to send a member something they needed and have it arrive out of the blue at their front door. How can you send an item to someone without them expecting it or for that matter anonymously without their mailing address?
thank you for the kind words Eric but it wasn't a big thing on my part. I was just glad to be of help. 40streetrod / wayne
I'm still waiting for someone to give me a 1936 Ford 3 window coupe thats slammed, chopped, has skirts and is a total custom. It hasn't happened yet but as nice as the people are on here, I'm thinking that it might just happen!!
In the last 50 years I've been the recipient of a few gifts and lots of help. It's a feeling like no other. Likewise, when you can repay the favor by helping others, especially someone new to the hobby that's in need...............a feeling like no other. Frank
check out his build thread, that's not the only guy he has helped out! Not only is Eric one hell of a fabricator, he is one hell of a guy! ok, enough *** kissing, everyone back to work!
Eric sent me a set of head light bezels free of charge. All he asked in return is that I try to help out another H.A.M.B.er. And in the spirit of giving (and cleaning out the garage) that is what I'll do. I hope this is what this thread is for. So, who needs post war mo-parts? Or a older set of finned aluminum Edelbrock valve covers for an s.b.c? Let me know and the stuff is yours. Thanks Eric.
Its up to the sender to fight for what UPS lost. Maybe you can get them to re-imberse you, buy another and try sending another one. Good luck trying to get re-imbersed though!! Thanks for trying to send my dream car and hope to see the next one real soon!! You are one heck of a Hamber!!
I really want to thank all of you for the kind words. Hopefully this thread can be an inspiration for others. We're all here to help after all.....I can tell you, it's the best feeling. THANKS EVERYONE !! Eric/farmer12
