hey guys, I know it sounds super lame, but I swear by dice valve stem caps. They have save more than one set of caps for me... if they ever pop off the dice catches them, just makes a little racket, no damage or anything...
This was in the pile of '42 caps in the back seat when I bought it. Zinc? Notice it still has the factory paint inside the Ford script. Anybody know where I can get 3 more?
I would never run dice valve stems. Because if your hubcap come off I would be afraid that it would ruin your valve stem and give you a flat.. I would rather lose a hubcap than have a flat... Most of the time you can find your hubcap.. (Not allways)
Hi.....this different than the one that I have (came of of a old barn in the 60's) I'll send a photo when I get my camera fix....Thanks for the picture......Big Bad John
Beauty Bubbles with the fake chrome reverse wheel insert, I have two more sets of bubbles in blue and green.
Yeah, but do any of you have a hubcap with YOUR name on it? These actually came on 'Gator' boat trailers made in the late 50's early 60's. I think Glastron boats used them a lot. They're kinda hard to find... Fellow Poorboy and Hamber 'Earl Schieb' picked these up for me (thanks AGAIN brother Mike) I've got four total, one's a little beat up and they all need re-chroming but I'll run them on SOMETHING SOMEDAY,
Nads, do those mount by the "fake chromie" part inside the bubble? how do they not crack when smacking them on??
maybe with those scorpion, ben-hur looking hubcaps you got going on there hoss I personally have never had an issue with it and I have saved a few good caps doing such. good caps are getting pricey these days...
The fake chrome cap snaps into the bubble and the whole thing goes on your regular steel rim. There is enough clearance. I run a set on my 54 Chevy that has chrome reverse wheels with a spider cap and they clear. They don't stay on for shit with that rubber gasket, I only put 'em on to drive around shows, I lost one of 'em in regular use on a highway ramp, amazingly I found it a few days later.
I have few that I will post when it's not raining..I have 2 of these cal-nevar caps form the 50's to start with
like 'em all. I always likes your Merc. My father would be quick to point out that these are wheel covers, not hub caps

I am restoring to original a 1962 Gator 216 Super. Would you be willing to sell me 2 of your Gator hubcaps, as they are the ones that are supposed to be on my trailer
