Yes and No. First, is the 65 a six cylinder car as the 62?

Second, 60-62 has smaller ball joints so the arms and such won't interchange with the 65, BUT the entire suspension will go into the 62. In other words you can't mix and match but you can use the whole ball of wax - spindles etc from the 65

    the 62 is a 6 cyl car the 65 is v8

yeah I knew about the different ball sizes. its going to be entire suspension and rear end swap. I was almost positive from what i read that its a direct swap but when it come time to drop the cash i wanted to make sure

Also the rear end is a 1 or 2 inches wider than a 1963-1/2 Falcon, also the U-bolts are bigger dia and bottom plates, but you have all the stuff, so your golden.....Round Body VS Square, Good new is 65 Front end parts, tie rods... are much cheaper than 64 and 63 V8 cars...also a V8 65 Pitman arm will bolt right on a 60-61-62-63-64 6 cly steering box, 1" dia....any other questions, just ask!

I haven't proven it, but I think the lower ball joint is the same, so swapping the spindles and upper control arm is easy enough. The upper shaft bolt holes are narrower on the early bird, but the shafts can be swapped in the arms for a no-drill approach.
The rear axle is about 2" wider. You can manage that with wheel offset or, you might have enough spline on the axle shafts that a very minor narrowing of the housing could be done without buying new axles. Pull the shafts and look at the spline length and wear to see if you could trim 1/2 to 1" off each axle. Then you could take that much out of the housing. Needless to say, there is little margin for error here.

The lower ball joints and A Arms on 60-62 are definitely different than 63-66, they do not interchange. The strut rod attachment to the lower A arm is different as well. Then entire 63 and later parts will fit the ch***is though.

The upper A Arm shafts with the narrow bolt pattern are 1960 only. All 61-66 are the same spacing

The 65 V-8 rear end will be 1" wider per side (2" overall)

    John,
Use all of the 65 (v-8)? front end stuff. Use a 71-77 Maverick ,Comet 8" rear end, v-8 . its 56 1/2' wide out side of drum to drum. Your stock rear is 56" wide. Use shock plates & u bolts from a 67-70 Mustang v-8 8". From a mustang vender they are about 20.00 to 25.00$. Its a Direct bolt in . Same spacing on the spring purch's.
