You guys wanna stay at Mokan and race on the 27th of August or do you wanna go somewhere else and race on the 20th - the weekend after b-ville? Unfortunately, the 20th is already taken at MoKan and there is no moving it.
The 20th is a better day but MOKAN has so much history and flavor. What other strip is available. I am leaning toward the 27th but i know alot of folks go to B-ville and then straight to the drags.
The weekend after B-ville would be great but you've got to do what you've got to do. The cruising and party at Jim's were a lot of fun. If you are going somewhere where there will be less activities keep it at Mokan. Nothing like cruising with 50 other rods for two days and then Drag Racing!

Ardmore Raceway,Carl and Johnnie are pals and Johnnie is kind of like Carl in that he's real easy to get along with. However MoKan on 27th is ok too.
Mokan is cool...but I'm flexible. As long as we nail down a date soon so I can be sure I can schedule the weekend off... it doesn't matter where it is I'll be there! There are still a few more hotels "Ryan's people" can stay in before we are banned form Joplin, right? Brian

I can most likely go on the 20th, if it's about the same distance as Mokan. Won't make it on the last weekend of the month.
amarillo tx. would be a great place too! amarillo dragway used to be big time in the early 60's and had some major events there. right in the center of the usa! but if it's mokan, i'm there
I like MoKan. the 27 is OK with me. Jim C gettogether is a must, lots of fun. I guess the legal problems came out OK for the track.

I'd be doing the Bville-HAMB drags shuffle if possible. Doubt I'd be able to make the drags if it was the 27th. Clark
MoKan is a pretty magical place...But if you want to relocate it to the REAL center of the U.S., I can talk to the guys here at Champion Raceway - they get the HAMB drags concept, and their schedule isn't finalized yet. Nice track, too. Gotta move quick though.....
I've really been looking forward to MoKan since seeing last years pics. After seeing all the pics I started hunting the HAMB and was sooo hyped I didn't even make an intro.......I just started blabbering about that old timey strip just like they used to be and when's it gonna be? What a neat place!!
Make it easy on yourself, whatever is easiest for you & Marcie. We have vacation scheduled to do Bonneville then drive to Joplin but do whatever works, we will try to make it whatever date/place.
