I still say do it. Just remember that not very many of those conversions look right when finished. You have to get the back of the cab angled some and also the window frame on the doors, plus you really need longer doors from a 2 door but might pull it off without them.
It isn't like you are hacking up a Nomad so if it doesn't turn out quite right, so what? You did it and learned a lot in the process.
If Ed Roth would be a young unknown and asking if he should put a 406 Ford engine in a 55 chevy, most likely he would be having everyone say don't.
