can anyone post or give info on how to wire a toggle switch as a turn signal switch? please make it simple in explanation Im "F"n stupid. much thanks
In case you couldn't translate to english on the schematic, you will need to wire the relays in to function as the brake light cancellor on the side that is flashing in order to use a single bulb system. I think you might also be able to get some sort of timer that cancels the function after a short time so you aren't always driving around with one blinking. Or use a three position momentary switch that you have to hold.
You can eliminate the relays if you just buy a 3 pole double throw toggle switch. This keeps the various circuits separate. This is what Ron Francis sold.
OK, Phil1934 you have hit on what Im looking to get answered. once I have this switch.which wires go to which lugs/spades. remember what I said. Im "F"n stupid again much thanx to you all
just buy the special turn signal toggle switch that Ron Francis sells...part # SS-1...about $25 and come with instructions ,there are terminals for 7 wires on it , no relays needed.... i have used several of them and they work great american autowire sells the same switch..part # 500148 wirng instructions are included from both of these suppliers
Install a seperate bulb in each housing for a stop lamp.....I have used the little halogen bulbs from a fog lamp.....3 dollars at WalMart.
