That was pretty cool! Man, I'll bet that COE could do some serious damage if it hit something doing donuts...

Very cool video. Used to do this in Great Eastern Mills parking lot Rt. 46 West Paterson, NJ after a snowfall with my '56 Customline hardtop. All the while hoping the doors wouldn't fly open due to the worn "white metal" striker plates.

  5. Well I guess idiots have been around a little longer than I thought they had. Here's a thought. Probably a 99% chance every car in that vid has gone to the chrusher. Oh, the humanity of it all.

It was awful to see the 55 coupe in that weather. It sure rusts fast there.

Yean brings back memories. I had a 55 studebaker champion when I was 15 and I could only do donuts and burnouts in the snow and ice! Had a buddy that was doing this in his 55 chevy and wrapped it around a tree.

  15. WOW....... this takes me back to my childhood living in Wis with uncles that were car guys. I spun around in a lot of cool cars back then. I even road on a sled across Lake Winnebago behind a 56 buick at 60 MPH a few times oh to be young and foolish again..................great video!!!!

Kool video. Nothing like a rear wheel drive car to have fun withn. When my son was 15, we lived in central Wis and I had a 70 4dr hardtop. I drove out on a frozen lake in Jan. I let my son drive and told him to put it in a skid and pull it out, that is how he learned to drive. There was nothing on the lake for him to hit. My wide though I was crazy.

I like the full fender skirts on the Ford pickup. The Ford hardtop was cool too.

I've seen it before, totally forgot about the flatbed though. Wasn't there another version showing the engine in the car missing the front clip?

Seen it before, but great video. I wonder where it was shot. Looks like an old diner/roadhouse/repair shop in the rear ??

Damn right we did!! The hot place for us was the "GEM Store" parking lot... a long slow grade with no islands or light poles to get in the way. (that 57 Ford almost took out a fence post:eek:)

One year at another place where I worked we had a snow and then it warmed up melting it all into a huge parking lot sized puddle that froze over the next night. I did a 720 in my 63 Corvette 327-340 more than once going to work in the morning. I was sorry to see that one go. Smooth as gl*** with plenty of room to get up a head of steam.

I'm 66 years old and I still cut donuts in my cul-de-sac when the conditions are right. I'll never grow up.
